A reflection on budgeting
Reflections for the day
Proverbs 22
The rich rule over the poor,
and the borrower is slave to the lender.
Matthew 6:19-21
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
2 Corinthians 9:6
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

A reflection on budgeting
Heavenly Father,
Thou art almighty, and thou art most powerful, and we praise thou for thou power, and we praise thou for thou mightiness. Thou art Our Heavenly Father that knows all, and thou art Our Heavenly Father that sees all, and thou art Our Heavenly Father that hath possession of all thou facts. We acknowledge that all things come from thou, and we acknowledge that all riches, and all honour, come from thou.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou purpose for all of Mankind is for all of Mankind to draw closer to thou, and we acknowledge that thou purpose for all of Mankind is to emulate thou life of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and we acknowledge that all good things happen to a self who can live a life that can be described as godly.
Heavenly Father, it is at this time we reflect upon the nature of what is described as budgeting. We acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal much about what is described as budgeting, and we acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal much about thou desire for all of Mankind to be prudent. We are able to see in a way that is clear that thou desire is for all of Mankind to put thou first in all that is thought, and in all that is spake, and in all that is done. We are able to see in a way that is clear that thou desire is for all of Mankind to turn to thou always, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou desire is for all of Mankind to place a worry, and to place a concern with thou.
Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures reveal much about how a self should be prudent. We are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures reveal thou desire is for a self to be prudent by what is described as a saving of money, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures reveal thou desire is for a self is to be prudent by what is described as an avoidance of a collection of a debt, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures reveal thou desire is for a self to be prudent by what is described as a keeping of an account of an expenditure of money, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures reveal thou desire is for a self to be prudent by what is described as being hard at work.
Heavenly Father, it is at this time we acknowledge that there are many who have what is described as a difficulty with finance, and it is at this time we acknowledge that there are many who are unable to see a way forward in a way that is clear in terms of a finance, and it is at this time we acknowledge that a difficulty which is described as one that is financial, is one that is endured by a number of thou people of thou nations of thou world.
Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide all of Mankind in a life that is daily, and we ask thou to guide a self to see in a way that is clear an issue of concern that is monetary is an issue that must be addressed. We ask thou to guide a self to see in a way that is clear that thou desire is for all of Mankind not to set a hope on an uncertainty of riches in terms that are monetary.
Heavenly Father, thou art Our Heavenly Father who is loving, and thou art Our Heavenly Father who is compassionate, and thou love for all of Mankind is one that is there for all, and thou love for all of Mankind is one that is all encompassing, and thou love for all of Mankind is one that endures, and thou love for all of Mankind is one that is eternal, and thou love for all of Mankind is one that is not bound by words, and thou love for all of Mankind is one that is not bound by time, and thou love for all of Mankind is one that is not bound by energy. We acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that enables all to love thou with all of a heart, and with all of a soul, and with all of a mind, and with all of a strength. We acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that overspills into a relationship, and we acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that enables all of Mankind to love thou neighbour, in thou way that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, loves us all.
Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide a self to love thou neighbour, and we ask thou to guide a self to put a need of another before a self, and we ask thou to guide a self to be content with what a self has.
Heavenly Father, it is at this time we ask thou to provide a number of opportunities before all delegates at the United Nations Rio 20 plus Summit, and we ask thou to provide a number of opportunities before all the heads of Government at the United Nations Rio 20 plus Summit, and the opportunities we ask thou to provide are ones to enable all to reflect carefully upon what is described as the current economic situation that exists in thou continent known as Europe, and to reflect carefully upon the current economic situation that exists in what is described as thou nations of the developed World. We hope and we pray that all will see a need to be prudent, and we hope and we pray that all will see a need to put a need of another before a need of a self, and we hope and we pray that a self will turn to thou always.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that where there is a jealousy and where there is an ambition that can be described as selfish doth exist that there will be what can be described as disorder, and what can be described as a practice in a life of a self which is somewhat less than acceptable, and is somewhat less than desirable.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that all of Mankind falls short in thou expectation, and we acknowledge that a self is, at times, reluctant to be thou obedient servant, and we acknowledge that a self is, at times, rebellious, and is unable to see in a way that is clear a need to place thou first in all that is thought, and in all that is spake, and in all that is done. We ask thou to guide a self to remain focused on thou always, and we ask thou to guide a self to be obedient to thou, and we ask thou to guide a self to be ready to do thou will.
Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and we uphold all that hath been spake in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for all of Mankind to redeem all of Mankind from all sins, and to show all of Mankind thou way to thou, and we uphold all that hath been spake in thou name of thou Holy Spirit, who lives within Man, and who dwells amongst Man, and who advocates for Man, now and always, for evermore.
Amen
A reflection on corruption
Reflections for the day
2 Peter 2:19
They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for “people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.”
Galatians 6:8
Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
Ephesians 6:17-18
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Lead Me (Sanctus Real)
So Father, give me the strength
To be everything I’m called to be
Oh, Father, show me the way
To lead them
Won’t You lead me?
A reflection on corruption
Heavenly Father,
Thou art a loving Father, and thou art a compassionate Father, and thou hath made a provision for every need for all Mankind. Thou knowest of the strains and thou knowest of the stresses there are in a daily life endured by Mankind, and thou knowest of the strains and thou knowest of the stresses that are endured during a service to thou, and during a service for another.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that many beliefs, and that many thoughts, and that many ideas, and that many opinions, and that many convictions, and that many prejudices, are ones that are formed by an influence of Mankind. A thought, and an idea, and an opinion, and a conviction, and a prejudice, is one that is formed by what is seen, and is one that is formed by what is experienced, and that all of these things are ones that can be tainted by ways that can be described as sinful, and are ones that can be tainted by ways that can be described as selfish.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal thou world that can be described as one that is corrupt, and we acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal that St Paul was a man who was unable to condone corruption, and we acknowledge that St Paul was a man who lived a life that can be described as holy, and that St Paul was a man who was ready to do thou will always.
Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou world that we live in, is one that can be described as a world that is tainted by corruption. We are able to see in a way that is clear that corruption is an act that is one that is destructive, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that it is an act that is wrong. We are able to see in a way that is clear that corruption benefits those who can be described as unscrupulous, and that this benefit is one that is to the detriment of another. We are able to see in a way that is clear that corruption is an act that will undermine a good governance, and we are able to see that corruption is an act that will harm what can be described as economic efficiency, and that corruption is an act that will harm what can be described as economic development, and that corruption is an act that will harm our trade with another, and that corruption is an act that is hurtful to another.
Heavenly Father, it is at this time we ask thou to guide Mankind in a daily life, and we ask thou to help many reflect upon the error of a way, and we ask thou to guide many to say sorry for a wrong doing, and we ask thou to guide many in making a change in a life that is necessary.
Heavenly Father, thou desire is for Mankind to conduct a self with honesty in all things, and thou desire is for Mankind to have what is described as a self-control in all that is said, and in all that is done, and thou desire is for Mankind to turn to thou always.
Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that Mankind will reflect carefully upon an action, and we hope and we pray that many will be honest in all that is said, and in all that is done, and we hope and we pray that many will have an integrity in all that is said, and in all that is done, and we hope and we pray that Mankind will see that a justice is one that brings a stability, and we hope and we pray that many will bring a worry and that many will bring a concern to thou always.
Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that is spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with thou Holy Spirit reigns on most high, and is the most supreme ,and is the most absolute power and being, that reigns over all who are of this world that we live in, now and always, for evermore.
Amen.
A reflection on thou Christian Faith (one of several)
Reflections for the day
2 Corinthians 5:7
For we live by faith, not by sight.
John 20:29
Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
“Praying in faith is not an inner conviction that God will act according to our desires if only we believe hard enough. It involves believing that God will always respond to our prayers in accord with his nature, his purposes, and his promises.”
-Alvin VanderGriend
A reflection on thou Christian Faith (one of several)
Heavenly Father,
It is at this time of Easter that we reflect carefully upon how faith should play an important part in the life of a Christian. We are able to see in a way that is clear that for some there is a difficulty in a life, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that a difficulty in a life can be described as one where there is a lack of faith. We are able to see in a way that is clear that faith is the basis of what is hoped for, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that faith is a confidence in what is unseen. We are able to see in a way that is clear that what is unseen can be described as one that is beyond a sight, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that what is visible, and what is invisible, often relates to things other than faith.
Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide all Mankind in a daily life, and we ask thou to help many to focus on what relates to thou life of thou which is eternal.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that there are many examples of a faith in thou in thou Scriptures, and we acknowledge that many acts were carried out in thou name of faith. We are able to see in a way that is clear that to have a faith there is a need to be obedient to thou, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that to have a faith in thou there is a need to be patient with thou, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that to have a faith in thou there is a need to be disciplined in all that is said, and in all that is done, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou nature of faith in thou is one that requires all to believe, and requires all to rejoice, in advance of a realisation of a faith in thou.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that at a time in the future many will desire to be thou obedient servant but will fall short in thou expectation, and we acknowledge that at a time in the future many will desire to lay down a life for thou but will be reluctant at times, and we acknowledge that at a time in the future many will desire to be ready to do thou will but will at times be rebellious.
Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that all will be able to put aside a worry, and we hope and we pray that all will be able to put aside a concern that relates to the present, and relates to what is seen, and we hope and we pray that all will be able to place a trust and a faith in thou.
Heavenly Father, it is at this time we acknowledge that for some a life is what is described as full of uncertainty, and that much of this uncertainty is due to what is described as the present economic climate. Heavenly Father, we ask thou to place a number of opportunities before the Government, and we ask thou to place a number of opportunities before a council, so the many who are unable to cope with a finance can be supported in a way that is fitting. We hope and we pray that many will make the right choices, and we hope and we pray that many will turn to thou always.
Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake, in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, who together with thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and thou Holy Spirit, reigns on most high as the Governor, and as the Advocate, for all Mankind, now and always, for evermore.
Amen.

A reflection on the sin of materialism
Reflections for the day
Luke 16:13-15
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus. He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of others, but God knows your hearts. What people value highly is detestable in God’s sight.
You cry over spilled champagne! Your complaints are not over the lack of necessities, but the abundance of benefits. You bellyache over the frills, not the basics. Over benefits not essentials. The source of your problem is your blessing. –Unknown
Any so-called material thing that you want is merely a symbol: you want it not for itself, but because it will content your spirit for the moment. –Mark Twain
A reflection on the sin of materialism
Heavenly Father,
We are able to see in a way that is clear that Mankind lives in your world which is a world that has been, and is, tainted by materialism. We are able to see in a way that is clear that materialism takes on a number of forms and the forms that it takes on can, and does, affect all. We are able to see in a way that is clear that much of what happens in a daily life is affected by a materialistic thought. We are able to see in a way that is clear that many thoughts are ones that can be, and are ones that are, affected by what is seen, and affected by what is heard in the media.
Heavenly Father, it is at this time during Lent we reflect upon the nature of materialism, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that this was a concern for your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, when a time was spent in the Wilderness. We are able to see in a way that is clear that during a time in the Wilderness that Satan tempted your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, with a thought which was one related to a materialistic thought of your world, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, rejected a temptation that was placed before your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that your people of your world of this day have an expectation, and we acknowledge that an expectation is one to do with a possession that is worldly. We acknowledge there is a difficulty for your children to take what can be described as a step back from all that is worldly and deny a need for a possessions that is worldly. We are able to see in a way that is clear that your children need a guidance and we are able to see in a way that is clear that a guidance is one that is often difficult to administer. We are able to see in a way that is clear that many of your children are led astray, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that many of your children are misguided.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that there are times when a value of a possession is demeaned, and we are able to see in a way that is clear there are occasions when there is a purchase of goods which is unnecessary. We are able to see in a way that is clear that on an occasion this occurs when a brand that is new, and when a brand is marketed as new, and as exciting, is perceived, and is discerned by your children.
Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that Mankind can reflect carefully upon a purchase, and we hope and we pray that Mankind can see that a possession that is worldly is meaningless in the Kingdom of Heaven. We hope and we pray that Mankind will see the error of a way, and we hope and we pray that Mankind will make the changes necessary in a life so that Mankind is able to have a life that is eternal with you.
Heavenly Father, it is at this time we are concerned with a number of changes that have been made by a budget, and it is at this time we are concerned that a number of changes will mean a downturn in the economy. We hope and we pray that the Government of this country is able to see a way forward in a way that is clear, and we hope and we pray that the Government will enable all to live a life that is one that can be described as one that is economically viable.
Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that it is a desire of yourself for Mankind to turn to you always, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that it is a desire of yourself for Mankind to put aside a worry, and for Mankind to put aside a concern, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that it is a desire of yourself for Mankind to be prudent in a spending, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that it is a desire of yourself for Mankind to put you first in all that is thought, and in all that is said, and in all that is done.
Heavenly Father, we uphold to yourself, Our Heavenly Father, all that has been said in the name of yourself, Our Heavenly Father, and in the name of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with your Holy Spirit, reigns on most high as the most supreme, and as the most absolute power, and being, now and always, for evermore.
Amen.
A reflection on promise
Reflections for the day
2 Peter 1:4
And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.
A reflection on promise
Heavenly Father,
It is at this time of Lent we reflect upon the ministry of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and we reflect upon the nature of a faith of yourself, Our Heavenly Father. We are able to see in a way that is clear that the ministry of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was one that was shaped by a trust in the power of all promises of yourself, and that your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was able to minister, knowing that you had empowered your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, with a faith, and with a trust, and with a belief, in all that is of you, Our Heavenly Father.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that we are able to see in a way that is clear that all promises that you have made to Mankind in your Scriptures. We acknowledge that you have supplied, and will supply all needs, and all needs are ones that can be described as the love that you have for all Mankind, and a salvation that there is for all Mankind through your Son, Our Saviour, Our Lord Jesus Christ. We acknowledge that there is a provision for all salvation by your grace through a faith of you, and that there is a victory over death through your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who died upon a cross for all Mankind, to show all the way to you, and to guide all of Mankind to seek out a forgiveness for all sin.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that many have a belief in your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and that through the forgiveness of sin all will be able to draw closer to you. We acknowledge that a promise is that all things work together for all good for those who love, and for those who serve you, in a way that is faithful, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that for some there is a difficulty in perceiving, and in discerning, how this can be accomplished at times.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that you have given all Mankind an opportunity to have a life that is eternal with you if a self turns to you, and if a self proffers a sorrow for the error of a way, and incurs a change in a life that is necessary.
Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that many at one time or another make a promise which is kept, and we are able to see in a way that is clear for some a promise is one that is broken. We are able to see in a way that is clear that a promise that is broken may be, and has been for a reason, and a reason may be, and has been one of forgetfulness, and may be, and has been for a reason of negligence, and may be, and has been for a reason where there is a change of mind, and may be, and has been for a reason where there is a change in circumstance which is beyond a control.
Heavenly Father, we ask you for a guidance in a daily life, and we ask your help in making a promise only when there is an ability to keep it, and we ask you to guide us to always show a willingness to do your will.
Heavenly Father, it is at this time we hope and we pray that those who hold a high office in this country are able to reflect carefully on a number of promises that have been made in order to manage an affair of this country, and we ask you to provide an number of opportunities before those in a high office to address a concern that there is at this present time over an influence suggested by some, and we hope and we pray that many will reflect carefully and make the changes that are necessary to resolve an issue for which many are concerned about.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that many desire to be an obedient servant of you but fall short in an expectation that is yours, and we acknowledge that many desire to lay down a life for you but are at times reluctant, and we acknowledge that many desire to do your will but are at times rebellious.
Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that Mankind will turn to you for a guidance in a daily life, and we hope and we pray that through the example of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, many are able to keep a promise that is made.
Heavenly Father, we uphold to yourself, Our Heavenly Father, all that has been said in the name of yourself, Our Heavenly Father, and in the name of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with your Holy Spirit, is the Redeemer and is the Saviour for all Mankind, now and always, for evermore.
Amen.
A reflection on religious tolerance
Reflections for the day
Matthew 8:8-10
The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. |
For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. |
When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

A reflection on religious tolerance
Heavenly Father,
Thou art the Creator of thou world that we live in and thou hath created all things known to Man, and thou hath created all things unseen by Man. We acknowledge that we are all individuals and we acknowledge that each and everyone one of us holds views, and for some of us our views are different, and for some of us our faith is different.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou loves each and every one of us.
Heavenly Father, we are able to see that some of us differ in an outlook on life, and we are able to see that some of us differ in a view, and we are able to see that despite a difference in a view there are some things we are able to share.
We are able to see that for some of us there is a belief in thou existence, and we are able to see that some of us hath a need to worship thou. We are able to see that for some of us there are opportunities to see thou work in thou nature.
Heavenly Father, we are able to see that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, taught us to learn and taught us to understand Mankind, and we are able to see that thou Son,Our Lord Jesus Christ, was able to speak of Man having positive qualities to offer. We are able to see that thou disciple Paul recognised thou work of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, as one that happens within another’s religion and culture.
Heavenly Father, it is at this time we ask thou to guide us in our daily life, and it is at this time we ask thou to help us to recognise that another is entitled to a belief that differs from a belief that is held by a self.
Heavenly Father, we are able to see that we are all called to bring others to thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and we are able to see that for Mankind there are some difficulties in accepting thou exists, and we are able to see that for Mankind there are some difficulties in accepting thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, is there for our salvation, and we are able to see that for Mankind there are some difficulties in accepting thou loves all of Mankind.
We are able to see that throughout history, events have occurred that can be described as shameful, and these events that have occurred have been perpetrated by Christians to people of other faiths. It is at this time, we uphold to thou in prayer thou people of Nigeria and we hope and we pray that thou people of Nigeria who are described as Christians and we hope and we pray that thou people of Nigeria who are described as of the faith Islam can live together in peace and harmony.
Heavenly Father, we are concerned about the recent tragic event that has occurred in Toulouse. We are able to see that the Jewish Community are heartbroken and we are able to see that the Jewish Community are in need of our prayers. We are able to see that thou presence is one that is desired and we are able to see that thou guidance is one that is desired too.
Heavenly Father, there is much that happens in thou world that seems to make no sense and there is much that happens in thou world that can be described as evil. We are able to see that many of us would wish that evil is overcome and we are able to see that many of us would wish that violence ceased.
Heavenly Father, we uphold to thou the names of thou Rabbi, his children and the other child who died in such a tragic way and we ask thou to heal their families and friends.
Heavenly Father, thou desires us to live in a way which avoids all that is not good in thou world. We ask thou to guide us in our daily life to stay on thou path which is a path that is straight and narrow toward thou eternal light. We ask thou to guide us to bring thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, to Mankind without a fear and without a prejudice, and without racism, and without a judgement being proffered.
It is at this time we ask thou to place opportunities before the Government to reflect carefully upon the faith of Christianity and to reflect carefully upon what it means to practice a faith of Christianity. We hope and we pray that our Government will address those situations in which Christians find themselves in at this present time and we hope and we pray that our Government comes to an understanding of our faith of Christianity.
Heavenly Father, we uphold to thou all that hath been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and in thou name of thou Holy Spirit, who is, who was, and who will always be the most supreme and most absolute power and being that governs all of this world that we live on, now and always, for evermore.
Amen.
A reflection on debt
Reflections for the day
Philippians 4:19
And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 6:34
So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
Prayer covers the whole of man’s life. There is no thought, feeling, yearning, or desire, however low, trifling, or vulgar we may deem it, which, if it affects our real interest or happiness, we may not lay before God and be sure of sympathy. His nature is such that our often coming does not tire him. The whole burden of the whole life of every man may be rolled on to God and not weary him, though it has wearied the man.
A reflection on debt
Heavenly Father,
We are able to see that the economic situation we are faced with in this country is one that can be described as tenuous. We are able to see that for many of us our financial situations are ones that can be described as difficult. We are able to see that for some of us the economic situation has meant a loss of jobs, and we are able to see that for some of us it has meant a loss of our homes. We are able to see that for many of us we are faced with a working life that will be longer, we are able to see that for many of us we are faced with a salary that may be reduced, and we are able to see that for many of us we are faced with a pension plan that will be less than what we have hoped for.
Heavenly Father, we are able to see that many of us now have feelings that can be described as less than content. We are able to see that for some of us we have feelings that can be described as a depressed state, and we are able to see that some of us are in what can be described as a state of worry.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that you know all, and we acknowledge that you see all, and we acknowledge that you know and see all our worries and concerns.
Heavenly Father, you are a compassionate Father and you are a loving Father, and you are Our Heavenly Farther who is ever present, and you are Our Heavenly Father who is here for us to bring all our worries and concerns to you.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that your Scriptures teach us much about the nature of Man and we acknowledge that there are many situations in your Scriptures where Man has been filled with despair. We are able to see that many of the Psalms reflect upon the anguish of Man, and we are able to see that the Psalms teach us to call out to you from a place of pain, and to trust that you love us and can help us.
Heavenly Father, it is at this time that our Government is preparing a budget, and it is at this time there are many concerns by Man about the nature of this budget. Heavenly Father, we ask that you will place opportunities before our Government to reflect carefully on ways in which the burden of debt can be eased for all.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that some of us are less than wise in handling money, and we acknowledge that for some of us this means a debt is incurred which is difficult to be addressed. We ask you to guide us to be prudent with our spending, and we ask you to assist us with managing a budget that is personal.
Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that Mankind will turn to you, and we hope and we pray that Mankind can reflect upon the error of a way, and we hope and we pray that this will mean a change of direction for Mankind, in terms of being responsible for expenditure, both in a public manner and in a way that is personal.
Heavenly Father, we uphold to you now all that has been said in the name of yourself, Our Heavenly Father, and in the name of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with your Holy Spirit reigns on most high and is the Governor of all who live in this world, and is Our Heavenly Father who can help all to see a way forward clearly if a faith, and if a trust, and if a belief, is placed in the unseen, now and always, for evermore.
Amen.
A reflection on our fishing industry
Reflections for the day
Prayer honours God, acknowledges His being, exalts His power, adores His providence, and secures His aid.
A reflection on the fishing industry
Heavenly Father,
Thou art almighty, and thou art most powerful, and we praise thou for thou power, and for thou mightiness. Thou art the creator of all things known to Mankind. Since the beginning of time thou instructed all Mankind to safeguard and to keep thou world that we live in, and to safeguard and to keep all things in thou world in a way that can be described as fitting.
Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that there is a threat to thou oceans because of the way that all Mankind has lived, and because of the way that all Mankind lives. Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that there is a decline in a stock of fish in thou world, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that all of thou species of fish are endangered.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that many of thou people rely on a fish as a source that can be described as a primary source of animal protein. We acknowledge that many of thou people will find a livelihood at risk as a result of a decline in a stock of fish. We are able to see in a way that is clear that a situation of a decline in a stock of fish can be reversed if thou oceans are able to remain in a state that can be described as stable, in terms of reducing a quantity of fish that is retrieved from thou oceans.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that Mankind is unable to see in a way that is clear that an interference with a balance of nature is one that will have an impact upon the way thou earth will thrive.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that many who fish off thou shores of this country, and beyond thou shores of this country, have been instructed to throw back into thou waters a catch which is dead. We acknowledge that many who fish as a living have been subsidised in order to allow all to continue to fish. We are able to see in a way that is clear that some of the regulations that are in place in terms of subsidy are ones that are in need of being revised, so that a stock of fish can recover in terms of quantity.
Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that the works that are good of the World Ocean Summit, and the Global partnerships for Oceans, http://www.globalpartnershipforoceans.org/ are ones that can minimise a damage that has been done to thou oceans. We are able to see in a way that is clear that much of the work done through a Common Fisheries Policy is a work that can be upheld as one that is good. We are able to see in a way that is clear that there needs to be a common agreement collectively to allow a sustainability of a stock of fish to grow.
Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that fishing done in a way that is described as commercial, is one that has affected a breeding ground for a sea bird, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that there is a need for a regulation to be put in place in order to protect a breeding ground for a sea bird.
Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that many who fish overseas need a protection from what is described as a pirate fishery vessel. We are thankful that an agency known as the Environmental Justice Foundation can support many who fish. We are thankful that thou charity Christian Aid can help to fund a new, and can help to fund a better fishing equipment for many who fish overseas.
Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that many who fish are courageous. We acknowledge that many who fish need an acknowledgement for a courage by way of a recompense, as many who fish work for a wage that is less than desirable. We hope and we pray that all who fish are paid a wage that is fair, and are paid a wage that is protected.
Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that much of what happens to thou oceans happens to thou coastlines. We are able to see in a way that is clear that much of what has happened has affected a fishing industry. We are able to see in a way that is clear that the Government of this country is able to help a fishing industry by putting into place a regulation that will allow a stock of fish to increase. We are able to see in a way that is clear that a regulation such as this is one that will benefit a local community in the county of Cornwall, and elsewhere, and a regulation such as this is one that will help a business. We are thankful that many are able to see in a way that is clear a condition of thou oceans, and a condition of thou seas, and we are thankful that many have a desire to address a concern that there is for thou oceans, and for thou seas, and for thou coastlines, and for thou stock of fish.
Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with thou Holy Spirit, lives within Man, and dwells amongst Man, and advocates for Man, now and always, for evermore.
Amen.
