A reflection on glorify

Reflections for the day

2 Corinthians 3:18

And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

2 Timothy 1:7

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

If our petitions are in accordance with His will, and if we seek His glory in the asking, the answers will come in ways that will astonish us and fill our hearts with songs of thanksgiving.

A reflection on glorify

Heavenly Father,

It is at this time during Holy Week that we reflect upon your glory as manifested in your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. We are able to see in a way that is clear that your Scriptures teach all much about the character of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that your Scriptures teach all that your glory is revealed in the person, and in the works of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that during the ministry of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, that many were drawn to your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. We are able to see in a way that is clear, that your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, did not seek a glory, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, did not seek the approval of another. We are able to see in a way that is clear that your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, did all that was done in order to glorify your name, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that what was done was right and was fitful in your name, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that on an occasion an attention was gained due to a good work done in your name which is one that can be described as favourable. We acknowledge that your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was able to see that an approval gained from another would be what can be described as temporary.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time that we are able to see in a way that is clear that for many to be popular is a state that is desirable. We are able to see in a way that is clear that popularity is a state that is not always wrong but the way popularity is gained often can be less than what could be described as desirable. We are able to see in a way that is clear that for some there is a choice to follow what another has done in order to be seen to be popular, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that for some there is a choice to persuade another to admire some in a way that can be described as less than desirable.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we ask you to help all Mankind to discern a right from a wrong, and we ask you to help all to remain on a path which is one that is straight, and is one that is narrow, toward your light which is eternal.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we uphold to you the names of all who have lost a life in a conflict, and it is at this time we remember those who lost a life during the Falkland War. We ask you to provide a number of opportunities to be placed before those in Government, in both Argentina and in the British Isles, so that a common ground can be found that is acceptable for all. We hope and we pray that all that is decided by those in Governments can be seen as a way to glorify your name.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that Mankind will reflect carefully upon the error of a way, and say sorry for an error of a way, and make the changes necessary in a life so that your glory is one that transforms all internally, and we hope and we pray that Mankind considers all that is an intention to be done, is done in your  name, and in your glory, now and always.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to yourself, Our Heavenly Father, all that has been said in the name of yourself, Our Heavenly Father, and in the name of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with your Holy Spirit, is, and was, and always will be, the most supreme, and the most absolute power and being, that reigns over all who are of this world that we live in, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.
