A reflection on forgiveness and reconciliation

Reflections for the day

1 John 2
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.

1 John 1:9-11
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.  If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

Acts 3:19

“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”

We must alter our lives in order to alter our hearts, for it is impossible to live one way and pray another. –William Law

A reflection on forgiveness and reconciliation

Heavenly Father,

Heavenly Father, thou art Our Heavenly Father who is loving, and thou art Our Heavenly Father who is compassionate, and thou loves each and every one of us. We acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that is all encompassing, and we acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that is not bound by words, and we acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that is not bound by time and and we acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that is not bound by energy. We acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that enables all of Mankind to love thou with all of a heart, and to love thou with all of a soul, and to love thou with all of a mind, and to love thou with all of a strength. We acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that enables thou love for all of Mankind to overspill into a relationship, and we acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that enables all of Mankind to love thou neighbour, in thou way that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, loves us all.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we acknowledge that many find a difficulty to forgive another who has wronged a self. We are able to see in a way that is clear that for some it is difficult to let go of an anger, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that for some it is hard to forgive another when there is anger. We are able to see in a way that is clear that some desire to see a justice prevail, and that some see that to forgive a situation where a justice is meted may be seen by another as condoning an act. We are able to see in a way that is clear that some prefer a self who has offended, and a self who has caused an upset to not be forgiven. We are able to see in a way that is clear that some desire an outcome that can be described as an “eye for an eye” and a “tooth for a tooth.” We are able to see in a way that is clear that some find it difficult to forgive another who has offended, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that there is an occasion where some are unable to come to terms with a forgiveness for another, if another has declined to proffer a sorrow for a word that has been spoke, or a deed that has been done.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that during thou ministry of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, that it was revealed that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, came into thou world to redeem all of Mankind from all sins, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that as a consequence a self is able to turn to thou, and a self is able to ask thou for a forgiveness for an error of a way. Thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, revealed to all upon the cross that a love will triumph over an evil by thou a word of forgiveness that was uttered from the cross for all who had condemned thou Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and by a response of a promise in paradise to a thief who repented from the cross, who died alongside thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we reflect upon an occasion in the Second World War when there was much destruction, and we reflect upon an occasion in the Second World War when there was a destruction of thou church of St Michaels of Coventry. We acknowledge there was a time of suffering, and we acknowledge that there was a time when many were killed. We acknowledge that at this time a man named Provost Howard inscribed upon a remnant of the altar of thou church of St Michaels, “Father, forgive.” We acknowledge that at a time that was later that thou Cathedral of Coventry was one that was constructed, and we acknowledge that thou Cathedral of Coventry was one that was constructed on the ruin of thou church of St Michaels.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we acknowledge the anniversary of 50 years of the consecration of thou Cathedral of Coventry. We acknowledge that a mission at a time of 50 years ago was one of reconciliation, and we acknowledge that a mission at a time of 50 years ago was of one to reconcile thou nation of The British Isles with thou nation of Germany.

Heavenly Father, we ask for thou blessing on the works that are good of thou Cathedral of Coventry, and we ask for thou blessing on its rededication as a memorial to a victim of war who is described as a civilian.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that the works that are good of thou Cathedral of Coventry are ones that have been adopted by thou churches and by another, and we acknowledge that the works that are good of thou Cathedral of Coventry are ones that have been adopted toward a working of peace in thou world.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide all of Mankind in a life that is one that is led daily, and we ask thou to guide a self to perceive and to discern that thou desire is for all of Mankind to love thou neighbour, in thou way that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, loves us all. We ask thou to guide a self to understand that a self  who has offended a self, and a self who has caused an upset has a capacity for good. We hope and we pray that all of Mankind is able to reflect carefully upon the nature of forgiveness and we hope and we pray that all of Mankind is able to see a way forward in a way that is clear that by forgiving, a self is able to free a self from a feeling of anger, and that a self is are able to free a self from a feeling of bitterness, and that by forgiving, a self is able to provide an opportunity for a self to transform a life of a self, and that by thou power of forgiveness that a self is are able to draw nearer to thou.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and we uphold all that hath been spake in thou name of thou Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and we uphold all that hath been spake in thou name of thou Holy Spirit, who together with thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, is thou Redeemer and thou Saviour for all of Mankind, now and always, for evermore.

Amen

A reflection on prohibitive drugs

Reflections for the day

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your bodies.

1 Corinthians 15:33

Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”

“Prayer breaks all bars, dissolves all chains, opens all prisons, and widens all straits by which God’s saints have been held.”  E. M. Bounds

A reflection on the use of prohibitive drugs

Heavenly Father,

Thou art a loving Father, and thou art a compassionate Father, and thou loves each and every one of us.Thou love for Mankind is one that is all encompassing, and thou love for Mankind is one that is not bound by words, and thou love for Mankind is one that is not bound by time, and thou love for Mankind is one that is not bound by energy. Thou love for Mankind is one that allows all to love thou with all of a heart, and with all of a soul, and with all of a mind, and with all of a strength.Thou love for Mankind is one that overspills into a relationship, and thou love for Mankind is one that allows all to love thou neighbour.

Heavenly Father, thou art the creator of thou world that we live in, and thou hath created all things known to Mankind, and all things unseen by Mankind.Thou hath created Mankind  for a purpose, and that purpose is one of having relationships, and that a relationship is one that thou desires Mankind to have with thou, and for Mankind to have with another. We acknowledge that thou creation is one that is of thou dominion, and we acknowledge that thou desires all to take care of a body, and that thou desires all to turn to thou always.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we reflect upon the use of drugs. We are able to see in a way that is clear that the use of drugs by some is one that can cause a difficulty, and that a difficulty can relate to some who use what is described as a drug that  is prohibitive, and a difficulty will relate to a consequence of the use of a drug that is prohibitive. We are able to see in a way that is clear that  drugs that are prohibitive are ones that cause what is described as a state of mind that will be altered, and that those drugs that are prohibitive are ones that are used for purposes in what is described as a social context, and those drugs that are prohibitive are ones that are used for purposes in order to escape from what is termed as a reality. We are able to see in a way that is clear that for some there is a need to use a drugs that is prohibitive longterm, and we are able to see in a way that us clear that the use of a drug which is prohibited is harmful to a body, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that the use of these drugs are ones that can cause a danger, and that danger can relate to the use of a car, and that danger can relate to the use of machinery. We are able to see in a way that is clear that the use of a drug that is prohibitive can often lead some into an area of difficulty, and an area of difficulty is one that relates to what is described as concealing an issue from another, and an area of difficulty is one of lying, and an area of difficulty is one of disobedience, and an area of difficulty is one of stealing, and an area of difficulty is one of violence, and an area of difficulty is one of a failure to do a job or to do school work.

Heavenly Father, thou sent thou Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, into thou world to save Mankind from all sins and to show Mankind thou way to thou.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we ask thou to guide Mankind in a daily life, and we ask thou to help many to discern right from wrong, and we ask thou to help many to resist a temptation that can be described as one that is less than desirable, and can be described as one that is less than acceptable.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that many will reflect carefully upon the use of drugs that are described as prohibitive, and we hope and we pray that many will be able to see in a way that is clear the need to have sobriety, and the need to have a self-control. We ask that thou can place a number of opportunities before many to address the issues that relate to what is described as an undue influence, and this undue influence is one that manifests itself in the media, and this undue influence is one that manifests itself in music, and this undue influence is one that manifests itself in films, and this undue influence is one that manifests itself on the internet.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with thou Holy Spirit, reigns on most high, and who is, and who was, and who will always be, the most supreme, and the most absolute power, and being, that governs all who are of this world that we live in, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on human rights

Reflections for the day

Proverbs 14:31

Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honours God.

Proverbs 31:8-9

Open your mouth for the mute,
for the rights of all who are destitute.
Open your mouth, judge righteously,
defend the rights of the poor and needy.

The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.

A reflection on human rights

Heavenly Father,

Thou art the creator of thou world and all that is in it, and thou hath created all things known to Man, and all things unseen by Man. Thou created Man to be born with a particular appearance, thou created Man to be born with a particular shape, thou created Man to be born with a particular colour, and thou created Man to be born with a particular size. Thou created all Man to be equal in thou eyes.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou loves each and every one of us, and we acknowledge that thou love is one that is all encompassing, and we acknowledge that thou love is one that enables us to love thou with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind and with all our strength. We acknowledge that there art no words to describe thou love for Man, and we acknowledge that thou love for Man is one that is not bound by words, is one that is not bound by time, and is one that is not bound by energy. We acknowledge that thou love for Man is one that over-spills into our relationships and enables us to love thou neighbour.

Heavenly Father, thou art almighty and thou art most powerful. Thou art an all-knowing Father and thou art an all seeing Father, and thou have possession of all thou facts. We acknowledge that thou purpose for Man is one to draw closer to thou, and we acknowledge that thou purpose for Man is to live our lives like that of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou world was created by thou as a world that was just, as a world that was right, and as a world that was in perfect harmony.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see that in Ancient Times there were many that rebelled against thou, and we are able to see that much of what is described in thou Scriptures concerns justice, and much of what is described in thou Scriptures concerns the treatment of others. We acknowledge that thou Scriptures teach Man about discrimination, and we acknowledge that thou Scriptures teach Man that thou desire is for Man to treat others alike with a due regard to race, and with a due regard to gender, and with a due regard to cultural background, and with a due regard to social standing. We are able to see that thou values and thou sense of justice prevailed through the law and thou  commandments of thou Prophets.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we desire Man to reflect carefully upon what is described as an abuse of human rights. We are able to see that there has been much said in the media about what is described as an abuse of human rights, and there has been much said in the media about those who have been described as suffering at the hands of others. Heavenly Father, it is at this time we uphold to thou in prayer Abdulhadi al-Khawaja, and it is at this time we uphold to thou in prayer Yulia Tymoshenko. We ask that thou can place opportunities before many to address the issues of which we are concerned about, and we hope and we pray that Man will reflect carefully upon the error of a way and say sorry for an error of a way, and make the changes in a life which are necessary.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we uphold to thou the good works of Amnesty International and we ask thou to bless their work, and we ask thou to place opportunities before many to enable justice, to enable fairness, to enable freedom and to enable truth to prevail always.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that Our Lord Jesus Christ died for us in order for us to find the way to thou. We acknowledge that Our Lord Jesus Christ suffered for us in order for us to understand the nature of suffering. We are able to see that for many suffering is something that they would prefer not to endure, and we are able to see that for some of us we can place all our worries and concerns into thou presence, and we are able to see that for all thou is there for Man always.

Heavenly Father, all things are possible through thou if there is a  faith and if there is an understanding of thou. Heavenly Father, we know that many events happen in our lives and that there is a divine purpose for these events to happen, and we know that many of the events that happen do so in thou own good time. Heavenly Father, we ask that we can be guided always in our daily life, we ask that thou can lead us towards thou eternal light.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to accept these words in thou name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and we ask thou to accept these words in thou name of thou Holy Spirit, who lives within us, who dwells amongst us and who advocates for us, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on conquering evil (one of several)

Reflections for the day

Ephesians 4:27

and do not give the devil a foothold.

“The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying.  He fears nothing from prayer less studies, prayer less work and prayer less religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but he trembles when we pray.”  Samuel Chadwick

A reflection on conquering evil (one of several)

Heavenly Father,

Thou art a loving Father, and thou art a Holy Father. We acknowledge thou sent thou only Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, into thou world to save Mankind from all sins. We acknowledge that thou Scriptures teach Mankind that much of the ministry of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was one which can be described as a conflict with evil, and we acknowledge that thou Scriptures teach Mankind that the death of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and thou resurrection of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was one that glorified thou name, and was one that overcame evil.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou art most powerful, and we acknowledge that thou art present always, and we acknowledge that thou art Our Heavenly Father who knows all, and we acknowledge that thou art Our Heavenly Father who sees all, and we acknowledge that thou art in possession of all thou facts.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou Scriptures teach Mankind that thou art all that is holy, and we acknowledge that thou Scriptures teach Mankind that Satan is the personification of all that is evil. We acknowledge that thou Scriptures teach Mankind that thou world that we live in is one that is tainted by what can be described as evil, and we acknowledge that thou Scriptures teach Mankind there is a  need to always remain vigilant, and a vigilance is one that can be described as one that is watchful of an influence that can be described as less than holy.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was tempted by Satan, and the temptation was one that came when thou Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, was in the wilderness, and the temptation was one that came when thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was faced with a difficulty, and a difficulty was one that was related to the environment, and a difficulty was one that was related to a state of the body which was one that was weakened through what can be described as prolonged fasting.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to help all at a time of difficulty when a body, and when a mind is weakened, and we ask thou to help many to turn to thou always, and we ask thou to help many to emulate thou life of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we acknowledge that some can be  tempted, and that a temptation is one that is often described as sin, and that a temptation is one that is seen by some as one that is acceptable.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide Mankind in a daily life, and we ask thou to help Mankind to recognise the error of a way, and we ask thou to guide many to turn to thou always, and we ask thou to guide many to say sorry for an error of a way, and we ask thou to guide many to make a change in a life that is necessary.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we are able to see in a way that is clear that there is much said in the media about the payment of taxes, and there is much said in the media about what is described as an avoidance of a payment of taxes. Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that many will reflect carefully upon the payment of taxes, and we hope and we pray that  thou art able to permit a number of opportunities to be  placed before some to pay a tax that is due.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we are able to see in a way that is clear that there is much said in the media about the internet, and that the issues that many are concerned about are ones that are described as an influence, and that influence is one that is seen as corrupt.

Heavenly Father, we ask that a number of opportunities are placed before many at the International Defence Studies in Estonia, and that many will reflect carefully upon the nature of an influence, and we hope and we pray that the right choices are made to safeguard a security, and we hope and we pray that the right choices are made to safeguard a child, and are made to safeguard a  young person, from all that is seen to be corrupt.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that Mankind will turn a back on evil, and we hope and we pray that many will turn to thou, and we hope and we pray that good will overcome evil.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, who together with thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and with thou Holy Spirit, reigns on most high, and is, and was, and always will be, the most supreme, and the most absolute power, and being, that governs all who are of this earth that we live on, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on leadership

Reflections for the day

1 Timothy 3:1-4

This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;

Mark 10:44

And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.

Prayer is not an old woman’s idle amusement. Properly understood and applied, it is the most potent instrument of action.

– Mahatma Gandhi

A reflection on leadership

Heavenly Father,

Thou art the creator of thou world we live in, and thou hath created all things known to Mankind, and thou hath created all things unseen by Mankind. We acknowledge that all things art created for a purpose, and we acknowledge that all things art created with a purpose. We acknowledge that all things occur in thou own good time.

Heavenly Father, thou art Our Heavenly Father, who knows all, and thou art Our Heavenly Father, who sees all, and thou hath possession of all thou facts. We acknowledge that thou purpose for Mankind is of one for Mankind to draw closer to thou, and we acknowledge that thou purpose for Mankind is for Mankind to live a life that emulates thou life of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and we acknowledge that all good things happen to those who can live a life that can be described as godly.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou sent thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, into thou world to save Mankind from all sins and to show Mankind thou way to thou. We acknowledge that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, came into thou world as thou humble servant. We acknowledge that Our Lord Jesus Christ is alive and reigns with thou in Heaven, and sitteth at thou right hand.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we reflect carefully upon the nature of leadership. We acknowledge that all fall short in thou expectation, and we acknowledge that thou desire is for Mankind to turn to thou always. We are able to see in a way that is clear that many  desire to live a life where there is a  trust, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that many  desire to live a life where there is an accountability, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that many desire to live a life where there is an order. We are able to see in a way that is clear  that a life of order is one that can be achieved if there is a  common commitment, and we are able to see in a way that is clear  that a common commitment is one of mission, and is one of values.

We are able to see in a way that is clear that where there is a common understanding of values, and where there is what is described as vision, that often what is described as progress is made.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal thou desires a good leadership. We acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal that Mankind should achieve what is described as a balance between a work life and a private life. We acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal that each and every one of us has a plan, and that thou desire is for many to focus on a plan, and to allow another to carry out  work that another is able to do. We acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal that thou desires a leader to share a work load, and that thou desires a leader to choose another who can share a work load, and that thou desires those who are chosen to be godly. We acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal that thou desires a leader to delegate responsibility, and that thou desires a leader to delegate authority, and that thou desires a leader only to do those things which others are not able to do. We acknowledge that all of these things are what thou desires.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we ask thou to guide Mankind in a daily life, and we ask thou to guide all  to see a way forward clearly. We hope and we pray that all leaders are able to turn to thou always, and we hope and we pray that all leaders are able to take a concern, and to take a burden to thou.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we desire that many will reflect carefully upon the elections, and these elections are ones that are taking place today in the British Isles, and these elections are for the selection of council leaders, and these elections are for the selection of mayors. We hope and we pray that a number of opportunities can be placed before many to reflect carefully upon the need for a leadership that is strong, and to reflect carefully upon the need for a leadership that is visible, and to reflect carefully upon the need for a leadership that is accountable.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that a good leader is seen by the way that a life is led, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou desires a leadership that is one that reflects the life of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that a good leader is one who turns to thou always.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide all to serve thou always, and we ask this in thou name of thou humble servant, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for all to show all thou way to thou, and in thou name of thou Holy Spirit, who lives amongst Man, and who dwells amongst Man, and who advocates for Man, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on wealth

Reflections of the day

Matthew 6:24-25

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothes?

1 Timothy 6:17-19

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

We look upon prayer as a means of getting things for ourselves; The Bible idea of prayer is that we may get to know God Himself.

– Oswald Chambers

A reflection on wealth

Heavenly Father,

Thou art the creator of thou world that we live in, and thou hath created all things known to Mankind, and all things unseen by Mankind. Thou art a loving Father, and thou art a compassionate Father. Thou sent thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, into thou world to save Mankind from all sins, and to show Mankind thou way to thou.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, laid down a life for all, and that by doing so thou made to all Mankind what can be described as an ultimate sacrifice, and that thou sacrifice thou made for Mankind is one that reveals thou love for all, and thou love thou hath for Mankind is one that is there for each and every one of us, and is a love that is all encompassing, and is a love that is not bound by words, and is a love that is not bound by time, and is a love that is not bound by energy. Thou love thou hath for Mankind is one that allows all to love thou, with all of a heart, and with all of a soul, and with all of a mind, and with all of a strength. Thou love that thou hath for all is one that overspills into a relationship, and thou love that thou hath for all is one that allows Mankind to love thou neighbour as thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, loves us all.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal that during thou life of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, cared for thou poor, and that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, cared for thou needy, and that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, cared for thou vulnerable.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, revealed in thou Scriptures much about wealth. We acknowledge that wealth is a gift from thou, and is a gift that thou hath entrusted some to use to carry out thou work for another.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures reveal that thou desire is for Mankind to turn to thou always, and that thou desire is for Mankind to have a relationship with thou which is right, and that thou desire is for Mankind to have a relationship with another which is right. We are able to see in a way that is clear that a desire to be wealthy, and a desire to have possessions, beyond what is a need, will be one that will cause some to neglect thou, and will  be one that will cause some to neglect a family, and will be one that will cause some to neglect another. We acknowledge that a desire to serve thou, and a desire to serve wealth, is one that is not compatible.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we ask thou to guide Mankind in a daily life, and we ask thou to guide many to see that there is a to have a responsibility toward those who are poor, and toward those who are needy, and toward those who are vulnerable. We hope and we pray that those who are blessed with having a wealth that is beyond a need will reflect carefully upon a responsibility to share a wealth with those who are less than fortunate.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that what can be described as a preoccupation with wealth is one that is not desirable, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that in order to draw closer to thou, Mankind needs to turn a back on  a thought of wealth.

Heavenly Father, many desire to be thou obedient servant but  fall short in an expectation of thou, and many desire to lay down a life for thou but are reluctant at times, and many desire to be ready to do thou will but are rebellious at times.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we ask thou to guide many to emulate the life of St Lawrence, a man who spoke of thou poor and of thou needy as a treasure of thou Church. We hope and we pray that many will reflect upon the life of St Lawrence and are able to see in a way that is clear that thou art able to provide all our needs, and that our treasure is one that is of a life that is one that is eternal with thou.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with thou Holy Spirit, reigns on most high, and is, and was, and always will be, the most supreme, and the most absolute power, and being, that governs over all who are of this world that we live in, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on corruption

Reflections for the day

2 Peter 2:19

They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for “people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.”

Galatians 6:8

Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Ephesians 6:17-18

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Lead Me (Sanctus Real)

So Father, give me the strength
To be everything I’m called to be
Oh, Father, show me the way
To lead them
Won’t You lead me?

A reflection on corruption

Heavenly Father,

Thou art a loving Father, and thou art a compassionate Father, and thou hath made a provision for every need for all Mankind. Thou knowest of the strains and  thou knowest of the stresses there are in a daily life endured by Mankind, and thou knowest of the strains and thou knowest of the stresses that are endured during a service to thou, and during a service for another.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that many beliefs, and that many  thoughts, and that many  ideas, and that many opinions, and that many convictions, and that many prejudices, are ones that are formed by an influence of Mankind. A thought, and an idea, and an opinion, and a conviction, and a prejudice, is one that is formed by what is seen, and is one that is formed by what is experienced, and that all of these things are ones that can be tainted by ways that can be described as sinful, and are ones that can be tainted by ways that can be described as selfish.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal thou world that can be described as one that is corrupt, and we acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal that St Paul was a man who was unable to condone corruption, and we acknowledge that St Paul was a man who lived a life that can be described as holy, and that St Paul was a man who was ready to do thou will always.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou world that we live in, is one that can be described as a world that is tainted by corruption. We are able to see in a way that is clear that corruption is an act that is one that is destructive, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that it is an act that is wrong. We are able to see in a way that is clear that corruption benefits those who can be described as unscrupulous, and that this benefit is one that is to the detriment of another. We are able to see in a way that is clear that corruption is an act that will undermine a good governance, and we are able to see that corruption is an act that will harm what can be described as economic efficiency, and that corruption is an act that will harm what can be described as economic development, and that corruption is an act that will harm our trade with another, and that corruption is an act that is hurtful to another.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we ask thou to guide Mankind in a daily life, and we ask thou to help many reflect upon the error of a way, and we ask thou to guide many to say sorry for a wrong doing, and we ask thou to guide many in making a change in a life that is necessary.

Heavenly Father, thou desire is for Mankind to conduct a self with honesty in all things, and thou desire is for Mankind to have what is described as a self-control in all that is said, and in all that is done, and thou desire is for Mankind to turn to thou always.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that Mankind will reflect carefully upon an action, and we hope and we pray that many will be honest in all that is said, and in all that is done, and we hope and we pray that many will have an  integrity in all that is said, and in all that is done, and we hope and we pray that Mankind will see that a justice is one that brings a stability, and we hope and we pray that many will bring a worry and that many will bring a concern to thou always.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that is spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with thou Holy Spirit reigns on most high, and is the most supreme ,and is the most absolute power and being, that reigns over all who are of this world that we live in, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on conquering evil

Reflections for the day

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

John 14:30-31

I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me, but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me.

The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, and prayer-less religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray.

– Samuel Chadwick

No one is a firmer believer in the power of prayer than the devil; not that he practices it, but he suffers from it.

A reflection on conquering evil

Heavenly Father,

Thou art a loving Father and thou art a Holy Father. We acknowledge thou sent thou only Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, into thou world to save Mankind from all sin. We acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal to Mankind that much of thou ministry of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was one which can be described as a conflict with evil, and we acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal to Mankind that the death of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and the resurrection of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, is one that glorifies thou name, and is one that overcomes all evil.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time that we reflect upon the nature of evil. We are able to see in a way that is clear that there are some who doubt the existence of an evil that can be described as personal, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that there are some who doubt the existence of an evil that can be described as malignant. We are able to see in a way that is clear that there are some who have a belief that there is good in thou world that we live in, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that there are some who believe that there is an evil that can be described as impersonal.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures reveal to Mankind that thou art all that is holy, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures reveal to Mankind that Satan is the personification of all that is evil. We acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal what can be described as a conflict between heaven and hell. We are able to see in a way that is clear that much of what happens in thou world can be described as good, and that some of what happens in thou world can be described as evil. We acknowledge that many are able to see in a way that is clear that there is what can be described as a conflict between good and evil, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that many desire for good to overcome all that is evil.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that evil can be overcome if we turn to thou. We acknowledge that through a faith of thou that it can be seen that the death of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, is one that can be described as a victory over evil, and that thou desire is for all Mankind to be a follower of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and in doing so to announce a victory over evil that is thou victory.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we ask thou to guide Mankind in a daily life, and we ask thou to guide Mankind to turn a back on all that is evil, and to turn to thou always. We ask thou to guide many to witness thou word, which is thou word which is good, and which is righteous, and we ask thou to guide all thou way to thou.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that there are times when many will be faced with a difficulty, and a difficulty that is faced will mean that some will turn a back on thou. We acknowledge that a difficulty that is faced will for some feel like a conflict of faith, and that a conflict of faith is one that will be described by some as one that is evil. We acknowledge that there is a need to be strong in a faith of thou always , and we acknowledge that there is a need to be steadfast in a faith of thou always. We are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures reveal to Mankind that there is a protection from all that is evil, and that a protection is one of thou cross, and that thou cross, and the resurrection of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, are ones that are powerful.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures reveal to Mankind that thou truth which is of a nature that is divine, is one that brings thou light into thou world, and thou light is one that will overcome all that is evil.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures reveal that there is a protection for all against evil when there is prayer, and that when prayer is said in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and in thou name of thou Holy Spirit,  that a prayer is one that can be described as empowered.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that Mankind will turn a back on all that is evil, and we hope and we pray that many will turn to thou, and we hope and we pray that good will overcome all that is evil.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake, in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and  in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for all to save Mankind from all sin, and to show all thou way to thou, and in thou name of thou Holy Spirit, who lives within Man, and who dwells amongst Man, and who advocates for Man, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.
