A reflection on the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second

Reflections for the day

Psalm 8

Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

You have set your glory

 in the heavens.

Psalm 22:27-28

All the ends of the earth shall remember

and turn to the Lord,
and all the families of the nations
shall worship before you.
For kingship belongs to the Lord,
and he rules over the nations.

As a people of faith, we know that prayer is a powerful instrument. And as one Nation under God, we know that many times our most powerful tool is prayer.

A reflection on the reign of Her Majesty  Queen Elizabeth the Second

Heavenly Father,

Thou art Our Heavenly Father who is loving, and thou art Our Heavenly Father who is compassionate, and thou loves each and every one of us, We acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that is all encompassing, and we acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that is not bound by words, and we acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that is not bound by time, and we acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that is not bound by energy. We acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that enables all of Mankind to love thou with all of a heart, and to love thou with all of a soul, and to love thou with all of a mind, and to love thou with all of a strength. We acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that overspills into a relationship, and we acknowledge that thou love for all of Mankind is one that enables all of Mankind to love thou neighbour, in thou way that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, loves us all.

Heavenly Father, thou art the creator of thou world that we live in, and thou hath created all things known to all of Mankind, and thou hath created all things unseen by all of Mankind. Thou art almighty, and thou art most powerful, and we praise thou, and we exalt thou, for thou power, and for thou mightiness.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou bestowed upon thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, the title Wonderful Counsellor. We acknowledge that thou, and thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, are at one with thou Holy Spirit. We acknowledge that thou, and thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, is thou source of all wisdom, and is thou source for all counsel, and we acknowledge that thou, and thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, stand supreme above all.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we desire to hear thou voice, and it is at this time we desire that thou can guide all of Mankind with thou wisdom, and with thou counsel, and we desire that thou can guide a self to remain on thou path which is a path that is straight, and which is a path that is narrow, and which is a path that leads toward thou light which is eternal.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou hath a majesty, and we acknowledge that thou hath a mightiness, and that all thou mightiness is there for all of Mankind, if all of Mankind is able to turn to thou in one accord at all times.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that all of Mankind are able to turn to thou in praise, and we hope and we pray that a self is able to turn to thou in thankfulness, and we hope and we pray that a self is able to see in a way that is clear that thou can provide an opportunity before all who pray to thouself, and we hope and we pray that all of Mankind is able to see in a way that is clear that thou hath bestowed upon all of Mankind a freedom of will.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we uphold to thou the works that are good of Her Royal Highness, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, and it is at this time we reflect carefully upon the nature of a reign, which is one that hath endured a period of sixty years. We acknowledge that the reign of Her Royal Highness, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second has been one that has been described as dignified, and we acknowledge that the reign of Her Royal Highness, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, has been one that has been described as diligent, and we acknowledge that the reign of Her Royal Highness, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, has been one that has been described as one that is dutiful to thou, and is one that has been described as one that is dutiful to her subjects. We ask that thou bless Her Royal Highness, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, and we ask thou to bless the Royal Family. We ask that thou grant Her Royal Highness, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, wisdom always, and we ask thou grant Her Royal Highness, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, to be able to perceive, and to be able to discern, all that is desirous of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, at all times.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide all of Mankind to perceive, and to discern, thou word which is of thouself. We ask thou to gudie a self to gain a wisdom from thou word which is of thouself, and we ask thou to guide a self to gain a stability from thou word which is of thouself, and we ask thou to guide a self to gain a peace of mind from thou word which is of thouself.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou world that we live in is thou world that can be described as one that is temporal, and that to be thou obedient servant will mean that, at times, a self will need to turn a back on what is described as a world that is secular, and that in order to do so requires a self to be faithful to thou. We are able to see in a way that is clear that in order to be obedient to thou means that a self will need to have a courage, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that in order to be obedient to thou means  a self will need to be dignified, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that by thou knowledge that there is a protection of a self in terms of a comment that is made, and in terms of a word that is passed, by another to a self.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that all of Mankind is able to see in a way that is clear that thou art Our Heavenly Father who is faithful to all of Mankind, and we hope and we pray that all of Mankind is able to see in a way that is clear that thou art Our Heavenly Father who has a wisdom, and we hope and we pray that all of Mankind is able to see in a way that is clear that thou art Our Heavenly Father who is a counsellor for all of Mankind, and we hope and we pray that all of Mankind is able to see in a way that is clear that thou art able to guide all of Mankind, if a self turns to thou in prayer.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, who together with thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and thou Holy Spirit, reigns on most high, and is, and was, and will always be, the most supreme, and the most absolute power and being, that reigns over thou world that we live in, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on human rights

Reflections for the day

Proverbs 14:31

Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honours God.

Proverbs 31:8-9

Open your mouth for the mute,
for the rights of all who are destitute.
Open your mouth, judge righteously,
defend the rights of the poor and needy.

The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.

A reflection on human rights

Heavenly Father,

Thou art the creator of thou world and all that is in it, and thou hath created all things known to Man, and all things unseen by Man. Thou created Man to be born with a particular appearance, thou created Man to be born with a particular shape, thou created Man to be born with a particular colour, and thou created Man to be born with a particular size. Thou created all Man to be equal in thou eyes.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou loves each and every one of us, and we acknowledge that thou love is one that is all encompassing, and we acknowledge that thou love is one that enables us to love thou with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind and with all our strength. We acknowledge that there art no words to describe thou love for Man, and we acknowledge that thou love for Man is one that is not bound by words, is one that is not bound by time, and is one that is not bound by energy. We acknowledge that thou love for Man is one that over-spills into our relationships and enables us to love thou neighbour.

Heavenly Father, thou art almighty and thou art most powerful. Thou art an all-knowing Father and thou art an all seeing Father, and thou have possession of all thou facts. We acknowledge that thou purpose for Man is one to draw closer to thou, and we acknowledge that thou purpose for Man is to live our lives like that of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou world was created by thou as a world that was just, as a world that was right, and as a world that was in perfect harmony.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see that in Ancient Times there were many that rebelled against thou, and we are able to see that much of what is described in thou Scriptures concerns justice, and much of what is described in thou Scriptures concerns the treatment of others. We acknowledge that thou Scriptures teach Man about discrimination, and we acknowledge that thou Scriptures teach Man that thou desire is for Man to treat others alike with a due regard to race, and with a due regard to gender, and with a due regard to cultural background, and with a due regard to social standing. We are able to see that thou values and thou sense of justice prevailed through the law and thou  commandments of thou Prophets.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we desire Man to reflect carefully upon what is described as an abuse of human rights. We are able to see that there has been much said in the media about what is described as an abuse of human rights, and there has been much said in the media about those who have been described as suffering at the hands of others. Heavenly Father, it is at this time we uphold to thou in prayer Abdulhadi al-Khawaja, and it is at this time we uphold to thou in prayer Yulia Tymoshenko. We ask that thou can place opportunities before many to address the issues of which we are concerned about, and we hope and we pray that Man will reflect carefully upon the error of a way and say sorry for an error of a way, and make the changes in a life which are necessary.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we uphold to thou the good works of Amnesty International and we ask thou to bless their work, and we ask thou to place opportunities before many to enable justice, to enable fairness, to enable freedom and to enable truth to prevail always.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that Our Lord Jesus Christ died for us in order for us to find the way to thou. We acknowledge that Our Lord Jesus Christ suffered for us in order for us to understand the nature of suffering. We are able to see that for many suffering is something that they would prefer not to endure, and we are able to see that for some of us we can place all our worries and concerns into thou presence, and we are able to see that for all thou is there for Man always.

Heavenly Father, all things are possible through thou if there is a  faith and if there is an understanding of thou. Heavenly Father, we know that many events happen in our lives and that there is a divine purpose for these events to happen, and we know that many of the events that happen do so in thou own good time. Heavenly Father, we ask that we can be guided always in our daily life, we ask that thou can lead us towards thou eternal light.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to accept these words in thou name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and we ask thou to accept these words in thou name of thou Holy Spirit, who lives within us, who dwells amongst us and who advocates for us, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on the elderly

Reflections for the day

Psalm 92:14

They will still bear fruit in old age,
they will stay fresh and green,

Prayer is the force as real as terrestrial gravity. As a physician, I have seen men, after all other therapy had failed, lifted out of disease and melancholy by the serene effort of prayer. Only in prayer do we achieve that complete and harmonious assembly of body, mind and spirit which gives the frail human reed its unshakable strength.

– Dr. Alexis Carrel

A reflection on the elderly

Heavenly Father,

Thou art the creator of thou world that we live in, and thou hath created all things seen by Mankind, and all things unseen by Mankind. Thou art almighty, and thou art most powerful, and we praise thou, and we glorify thou name on high.

Heavenly Father, thou art a loving Father, and thou art a compassionate Father, and thou loves each and every one of us, and thou love that thou hath for Mankind is one that is all encompassing, and thou love that thou hath for Mankind is one that enables all to love thou with all of a heart, and with all of a soul, and with all of a mind, and with all of a strength. Thou love for Mankind is one that is not bound by words, and thou love for Mankind is one that is not bound by energy, and thou love for Mankind is one that is not bound by time. Thou love for Mankind is one that overspills into a relationship, and thou love for Mankind is one that enables all to love thou neighbour.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that when many grow old that many have a health which is less than desirable, and we are able to see in a way that is clear there are many  who are able to see that in years ahead there may be a loneliness.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that there are some who are more able than another, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that there are some who despite an age that is considered old are able to do a number of things, and that a number of things that are achieved are ones that are usually achieved by another who is younger. We are able to see in a way that is clear there are some who are elderly who desire to grow closer to thou, and there are some who are able to see in a way that is clear that this is achievable.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we desire that Mankind will reflect carefully upon a relationship with thou, and it is at this time we desire that Mankind will reflect carefully upon a relationship with another, and it is at this time we desire that Mankind is able to see where there is a  need to make a change in a life, and the changes that are needed to be made are ones that are necessary in order to have a relationship with thou.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide all in a daily life, and we ask thou to guide many to grow closer to thou, and we ask thou to guide many to be disciplined in all that is thought, and in all that is said, and in all that is done.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that many will turn toward thou, and we hope and we pray that many will make the changes in a life that are necessary, and we hope and we pray that many will reflect carefully upon a life, and we hope and we pray that many will say sorry for the errors that have been made in a life, and we hope and we pray that many will grow closer to thou.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with thou Holy Spirit, reigns on most high, and is, and was, and always will be, the most supreme, and the most absolute power, and being, who reigns over all who are of this world that we live in, now and always for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on the individual

Reflections for the day

Luke 6:31

Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Luke 6:45

A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

A reflection on the individual

Heavenly Father,

Thou art the creator of thou world and all that is in it, and thou hath created all things known to Mankind, and thou hath created all things unseen by Mankind. Thou hath created Mankind to be born with a particular appearance, and thou hath created Mankind to be born with  a particular shape, and thou hath created Mankind to be born with a particular colour, and thou hath created Mankind to be born with a particular size. Thou hath created Mankind to have a particular personality, and thou hath created Mankind to be born with a particular intellect.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou loves each and every one of us, and we acknowledge that thou love for Mankind is one that is all encompassing, and we acknowledge that thou love for Mankind is one that enables Mankind to love thou with all of a heart, and to love thou with all of a  soul, and to love thou with all of a mind, and to love thou with all of a strength. We acknowledge thou love for Mankind is one that is not bound by words, and we acknowledge that thou love for Mankind is one that is not bound by time, and we acknowledge that thou love for Mankind is one that is not bound by energy. We acknowledge that thou love for Mankind is one that over-spills into a relationship, and is a love that enables Mankind to love thou neighbour.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was thou humble servant, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ,  did not come into thou world to be served but came into thou world to serve all. We acknowledge that thou Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, gave up a life for Mankind to show Mankind thou way to thou.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou desire is for Mankind to emulate thou life of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and that thou desire is for Mankind to love thou, and to love another, and we are able to see  in a way that is clear that the love that many have for thou, and the love that there is for another is one that can be expressed in a service to another.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that serving another is one that can be described as one of a ministry, and that as thou followers many are called to be thou servants for thou glory.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide Mankind in a daily life, and we ask thou to guide all to say all, and to do all, to thou glory always, and we ask thou to guide many to look not to an interest of a self,  but to an interest of another.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see  in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures teach Mankind that there are occasions when there is a need to consider an individual. We are able to see  in a way that is clear that these are times when an individual is singled out. We are able to see  in a way that is clear that thou desire is for Mankind to help an individual, and we are able to see that thou desire is for Mankind to put a need of an individual before  a need of a self.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we uphold to thou in prayer all those whose needs are not met, and we ask thou to place  a number of opportunities before many to address a need of an individual, and we ask thou to guide many to turn to thou always.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see  in a way that is clear that the Government of this country desires a pay to reflect a performance, and we are able to see  in a way that is clear that for many who work in a field of business that this is achievable. We are able to see  in a way that is clear that for many who work in a field known as education, and for many who work in a field known as health, that there are a number of difficulties in being able to achieve a performance that can be related to pay,in terms of the fact that the need of an individual is less than likely to be addressed.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that many can reflect carefully upon the issue of performance related pay, and we hope and we pray that many can see that there is a  difficulty that relates to addressing the need of an  individual, and we hope and we pray that a common ground can be found to enable a good service to be rewarded.

Heavenly Father, we upheld to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake, in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and  in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who is thou way, and who is thou truth, and who is thou life, and who is able to show all thou way to thou, and in thou name of thou Holy Spirit, who together in thou Holy Trinity, is thou advocate for all Mankind, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on responsibility

Reflections for the day

1 Corinthians 15:58

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.

Romans 8:1-2

Life through the Spirit

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

A reflection on responsibility (one of several)

Heavenly Father,

We are able to see in a way that is clear that  Our Lord Jesus Christ, died for us in order to save us from all of our sins, and to show us the way to you, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that Our Lord Jesus Christ, died in a manner which caused him pain. We are able to see in a way that is clear that Our Lord Jesus Christ, died in a manner which caused him suffering, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that Our Lord Jesus Christ, died in a manner which caused him heartbreak.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that there are many who believe in your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that there are many who believe in a resurrection. We are able to see in a way that is clear that there are many who believe that the death of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, is one that is largely ignored.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that we have a responsibility towards you, and there are many who are able to see in a way that is clear that this responsibility is one that is enduring, and there are many who are able to see in a way that is clear that a responsibility is one of looking after another. We are able to see in a way that is clear that this responsibility is one that enables some to use a gift you have bestowed upon some, and those gifts are ones that are to do with money, and those gifts are ones to do with time, and those gifts are ones to do with energy, and those gifts are ones to do with talent, and those gifts are ones to do with bodies, and those gifts are ones to do with minds, and those gifts are ones to do with your Holy Spirit.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we ask you to guide Mankind in a daily life, and we ask you to guide many to balance a work life with a private life, and we ask you to guide many to invest all that we have in you.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that many have a position of responsibility, and this position of responsibility is one that often carries a sense of power, and this position of responsibility is one that often places a person in the eye of the public. Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that those who are in a position of responsibility, and those who are in a position of power, will reflect carefully upon a responsibility to another, and we hope and we pray that those who are in a position of responsibility, and those who are in a position of power, will turn to you always.

Heavenly Father, there are some who are unable to see a way forward in a way that is clear, and there are some who desire to be more responsible, and there are many who desire to be more obedient. Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that those who are unable to see a way forward in a way that is clear will reflect upon all that is said in the name of you, Our Heavenly Father.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to yourself, Our Heavenly Father, all that has been said in the name of the Father, and in the name of the Son, and in the name of the Holy Ghost, who lives within Man, and who dwells amongst Man, and who advocates for Man, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on corruption

Reflections for the day

2 Peter 2:19

They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity—for “people are slaves to whatever has mastered them.”

Galatians 6:8

Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Ephesians 6:17-18

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Lead Me (Sanctus Real)

So Father, give me the strength
To be everything I’m called to be
Oh, Father, show me the way
To lead them
Won’t You lead me?

A reflection on corruption

Heavenly Father,

Thou art a loving Father, and thou art a compassionate Father, and thou hath made a provision for every need for all Mankind. Thou knowest of the strains and  thou knowest of the stresses there are in a daily life endured by Mankind, and thou knowest of the strains and thou knowest of the stresses that are endured during a service to thou, and during a service for another.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that many beliefs, and that many  thoughts, and that many  ideas, and that many opinions, and that many convictions, and that many prejudices, are ones that are formed by an influence of Mankind. A thought, and an idea, and an opinion, and a conviction, and a prejudice, is one that is formed by what is seen, and is one that is formed by what is experienced, and that all of these things are ones that can be tainted by ways that can be described as sinful, and are ones that can be tainted by ways that can be described as selfish.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal thou world that can be described as one that is corrupt, and we acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal that St Paul was a man who was unable to condone corruption, and we acknowledge that St Paul was a man who lived a life that can be described as holy, and that St Paul was a man who was ready to do thou will always.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou world that we live in, is one that can be described as a world that is tainted by corruption. We are able to see in a way that is clear that corruption is an act that is one that is destructive, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that it is an act that is wrong. We are able to see in a way that is clear that corruption benefits those who can be described as unscrupulous, and that this benefit is one that is to the detriment of another. We are able to see in a way that is clear that corruption is an act that will undermine a good governance, and we are able to see that corruption is an act that will harm what can be described as economic efficiency, and that corruption is an act that will harm what can be described as economic development, and that corruption is an act that will harm our trade with another, and that corruption is an act that is hurtful to another.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we ask thou to guide Mankind in a daily life, and we ask thou to help many reflect upon the error of a way, and we ask thou to guide many to say sorry for a wrong doing, and we ask thou to guide many in making a change in a life that is necessary.

Heavenly Father, thou desire is for Mankind to conduct a self with honesty in all things, and thou desire is for Mankind to have what is described as a self-control in all that is said, and in all that is done, and thou desire is for Mankind to turn to thou always.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that Mankind will reflect carefully upon an action, and we hope and we pray that many will be honest in all that is said, and in all that is done, and we hope and we pray that many will have an  integrity in all that is said, and in all that is done, and we hope and we pray that Mankind will see that a justice is one that brings a stability, and we hope and we pray that many will bring a worry and that many will bring a concern to thou always.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that is spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with thou Holy Spirit reigns on most high, and is the most supreme ,and is the most absolute power and being, that reigns over all who are of this world that we live in, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on commendation

Reflections for the day

Luke 21:1-4

The Widow’s Offering

As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”

Hebrews 10:24

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,

A reflection on commendation

 Heavenly Father,

Thou art a loving Father, and thou art a compassionate Father, and thou loves each and every one of us. Thou love for Mankind is one that is all encompassing, and thou love for Mankind is one that is not bound by words, and thou love for Mankind is one that is not bound by time, and thou love for Mankind is one that is not bound by energy. Thou love for Mankind is one that allows all to love thou with all of a heart, and to love thou with all of a soul, and to love thou with all of a  mind, and to love thou with all of a strength. Thou love for Mankind is one that allows a love for thou to spill over into a relationship, and thou love for Mankind is one that allows all to love thou neighbour.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou Scriptures teach Mankind that during thou ministry of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was able to see in a way that was clear a good deed of another. We are able to see in a way that is clear that a good deed of another is one that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, acknowledged in a way that was public. We are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures teach Mankind that all should “not hold back good from those to whom it is owing, when it happens to be in the power of your hand to do it.”

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that some feel that an effort goes unnoticed by another. We acknowledge that there are some who feel an effort is one that is not appreciated, and we acknowledge that there are some who feel an effort for another is taken for granted. We acknowledge that there are some who feel unable to live up to an expectation of another.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou art a loving Father and that thou loves each and everyone of us, and we hope and we pray that many will turn to thou with a worry, and we hope and we pray that many will turn to thou with a concern always.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures teach Mankind to treat another with a kindness. We are able to see in a way that is clear that a word of kindness to another, and a word that can be described as a commendation to another, is one that is able to uplift another in a way that can be described as spiritual. We are able to see in a way that is clear that for many in the giving of a word of kindness, and in the giving of a word of commendation, that there is an experience that can be described as a feeling of joy and a feeling of contentment.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide Mankind to seek out all that is good in another, and we ask thou to guide Mankind to acknowledge all that is good in another.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we commend to thou the good works of those who oversee and the good works of those who contribute to what is described as a foodbank. We are able to see in a way that is clear that those who are in receipt of food from a foodbank are thankful, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that for some it is a means of avoiding what can be described as impoverishment.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that Mankind will reflect carefully upon an action, and we hope and we pray that many will do what is seen to be good, and we hope and we pray that Mankind is able to acknowledge a time when a good deed has been done.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that is spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for Mankind in order to save Mankind from all sins, and to show all thou way to thou, and in thou name of thou Holy Spirit, who lives within Man, and who dwells amongst Man, and who advocates for Man, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on service for others

Reflections of the day

John 13:12-14

When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.”

Matthew 25:35-40

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?  When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

A reflection on a service for another

Heavenly Father,

Thou art a loving Father and thou art a compassionate Father, and thou loves each and every one of us. Thou love for Mankind is one that is all encompassing, and thou love for Mankind is one that is not bound by words, and thou love for Mankind is one that is not bound by time, and thou love for Mankind is one that is not bound by energy. Thou love for Mankind is one that enables all to love thou with all of a heart, and with all of a soul, and with all of a mind, and with all of a strength. Thou love for Mankind is one that enables thou love for Mankind to spill over into a relationship, and thou love for Mankind is one that enables Mankind to love thou neighbour.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was thou humble servant, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, did not come into thou world to be served but came into thou world to serve all of Mankind. We acknowledge that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, gave a life for all to show Mankind thou way to thou.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou desire is for Mankind to emulate thou life of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and that thou desire is for Mankind to love thou, and to love another, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that the love that many have for thou, and the love many have for another, is one that can be expressed in a service to another.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that by  serving another it can be described as one of a ministry, and we acknowledge that as thou servants that many will be called to glorify thou name.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide Mankind in a daily life, and we ask thou to guide all to say all, and to do all, to thou glory always, and we ask thou to guide all to look not to an interest of a self, but to an interest of another.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that we live in thou world, and in thou world many are faced with a difficulty, and a difficulty is one that can relate to a fear, and a fear for some is one of being accused in a way that is not valid, and the fear of being accused in a way that is not valid is one that prevents some from doing what is described as a deed that is good.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we hope and we pray that many will reflect carefully upon a situation where an act performed  or a word that is spoke may help another. We hope and we pray that many will put aside a worry, and we hope and we pray that many will put aside a concern, that there is, and we hope and we pray that many will make a choice that is right, and a choice that is good, in terms of what is said, and in terms of what is done.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we uphold to thou the good works of thou Samaritans, and we ask thou to place a number of opportunities before thou Samaritans to continue in supporting another.

Heavenly Father, many will desire to be thou obedient servant but will fall short in thou expectation, and many will desire to lay down a life for thou but will be reluctant at times, and many will desire to be ready to do thou will but will be rebellious at times.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for all Mankind to save all from sin, and to show Mankind thou way to thou, and in thou name of thou Holy Spirit, who lives within Man, and who dwells amongst Man, and who advocates for Man, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on lust

Reflections for the day

Exodus 20:14

You shall not commit adultery.

Matthew 5:28

But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5

For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honour, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God

John 12:25-26

Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honour the one who serves me.

It is not so true that “prayer changes things” as that prayer changes me and I change things. God has so constituted things that prayer on the basis of Redemption alters the way in which a man looks at things. Prayer is not a question of altering things externally, but of working wonders in a man’s disposition.

A reflection on lust

Heavenly Father,

You art the creator of thou world that we live in, and thou hath created all things known to Mankind, and thou hath created all things unseen by Mankind.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou art intimately concerned with all relationships. We are able to see in a way that is clear that thou concern is not solely for an immediate family and a friend, but in the structure of a society. We are able to see in a way that is clear that thou concern is in how many relate to another. We are able to see in a way that is clear that all are born into a relationship which draws a meaning from thou as our Heavenly Father who is loving.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we reflect carefully upon the sin of lust. We are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures teach Mankind that lust is a thought, and that lust is a desire of one that is sexual in nature, and one that is excessive in nature. We are able to see in a way that is clear that lust is an act that can be described as one that causes pleasure for a self, and that this act can be described as unwholesome in nature, and that this act is one that is done to fulfil a desire which often is without regard to the consequence for another. We are able to see in a way that is clear that the sin of greed, and the desire for possession, are ones that can be associated with the sin of lust.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we acknowledge that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, came into thou world as a man free from sin, and that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, lived a life that was holy, and that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, laid down a life for all by taking upon a self the sins of Mankind, and by showing all thou way to thou.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that many are concerned with the breakdown of a relationship, and we acknowledge that some are able to see in a way that is clear that a relationship can at times, break down due to a sin of lust. We are able to see in a way that is clear that when there is a breakdown in a relationship that another will suffer, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that those who suffer are the children of a relationship which has broken down.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide Mankind in a daily life, and we ask thou to guide all to live a life that is above reproach. We ask thou to guide some to avoid a temptation of lust, and we ask thou to guide some to reflect carefully upon a wrong, and to say sorry for all that is thought, and to say sorry for all that is done, and to make a change in a life so that a relationship with thou is one that is right, and to make a change in a life so that a relationship with another is made right.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake, in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with thou Holy Spirit, reigns on most high, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on forgiveness (one of several)

Reflections for the day

Luke 15:3-7

Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbours together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

Luke 23:34

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

We must alter our lives in order to alter our hearts, for it is impossible to live one way and pray another. –William Law

A reflection on forgiveness (one of several)

Heavenly Father,

Thou art the creator of thou world that we live in and thou hath created all things known to Man, and thou hath created all things that are unseen by Man.

Heavenly Father, thou art a loving Father, and thou art a compassionate Father, and thou loves each and every one of us. Thou love for us is one that is all encompassing, thou love for us is one that hath no words to describe, and thou love for us is one that is not bound by time and energy. Thou love for us is one that enables us to love thou with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength. Thou love is one that enables our love for thou to spill over into all our relationships, and thou love is one that enables us to love thou neighbour.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we acknowledge that many of us find it difficult to forgive those who have wronged us. We are able to see that for some of us it is difficult to let go of anger, and we are able to see that it is hard to forgive others when we are still angry. We are able to see that some of us desire to see that justice prevails, and that some of us see that to forgive in situations where justice is meted may be seen by others as condoning the act. We are able to see that some of us would prefer that those who have offended us, and those who have upset us, should not be forgiven as it is often seen by others as an avoidance of justice. We are able to see that some of us desire an outcome that can be described as an “eye for an eye” and a “tooth for a tooth.” We are able to see that some of us find it difficult to forgive if those who have offended us, and those who have upset us, have not said sorry for their actions against us.

Heavenly Father, thou sent thou only Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, into this world to save us from all our sin. We acknowledge that during the ministry of Our Lord Jesus Christ he revealed to Man that he had come to set us free, and we are able to see that this was a means by which we are able to turn to thou and to ask thou for forgiveness for all our sins. Our Lord Jesus Christ revealed to us upon the cross that love triumphs over evil by the words of forgiveness that was uttered from the cross for those who had condemned him, and by a response of a promise in paradise to the thief who repented from the cross where he died alongside Our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are able to see that thou Scriptures teach Man that we need to confess all our sins to thou in order to be forgiven, and in order for us to have a righteous relationship with thou we need to repent. We are able to see that in order to restore what can be described as a right relationship with Man, we must confess to Man our wrong doings. We acknowledge that we cannot be right in our relationship with thou if we are wrong in our relationship with Man. We acknowledge that if Man has wronged us that thou desires us to be forgiving to Man always.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide us in our daily lives, we ask thou to help us understand that thou desire is for us to love thou neighbour. We ask thou to help us understand that those who have offended us, and those who have upset us, have the capacity for good. We hope and we pray that Man is able to reflect carefully upon the nature of forgiveness and is able to see that by forgiving we are able to free ourselves from the anger and the bitterness that we feel, and that by forgiving we are able to provide opportunities for others to transform their lives, and that by the power of forgiveness that we are able to draw nearer to thou.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thou all that has been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and in thou name of thou Holy Spirit, who together with thouself and thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, reigns on most high and is, and was, and always will be the most supreme and most absolute power and being, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.
