A reflection on forgiveness (one of several)

Reflections for the day

Isaiah 43: 25

“I, even I, am he who blots out
your transgressions, for my own sake,
and remembers your sins no more.

Luke 15:3-7

Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbours together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

There is nothing that makes us love a man so much as praying for him. –William Law

A reflection on forgiveness (one of several)

Heavenly Father,

Thou art a loving Father and thou art a compassionate Father, and we praise thou, and we uphold thou name on high.

Heavenly Father,we are able to see that many of us are able to express a love for thou, and we are able to see that the love that is expressed for thou is one that is all encompassing. We are able to see that thou love that thou hath for Man is one that is enduring, and we are able to see that thou love thou hath for Man is one that is eternal. Many of us are able to see that thou love thou hath for Man is one that is there for all, and many of us are able to see that thou love thou hath for Man is one that is desirable for Mankind.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that when thou Son, Our LordJesus Christ, died upon the cross, that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, took upon thouself all the sins of Mankind. We acknowledge that thou death of thou Son, our Lord Jesus Christ upon the cross enables all of Man to find thou way to thou.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that Man has sinned since time began, and that a sinful way is one that cause a separation from thou. We are able to see that some of what hath happened in a life can be described as an event that some would sooner forget. Some of these events are ones that can be described as failures, and some of these events are ones that can be described as sinful. Some feel that these failures and some  feel that these sins are ones that are indelible.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we ask thou to guide Man to reflect upon the error of a way, and we ask thou to guide Man to make a change in a life that means that Man hath turned away from sin, and turned toward thou.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see that thou desires us to repent, and we are able to see that thou desires us to forgive those who have offended us or upset us.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide us in our daily lives so that we are able to pardon those who have upset us or offended us, and we ask thou to help us to no longer feel resentment or anger toward all who hath offended or upset us.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge thou art a loving Father who is willing to forgive, and we acknowledge thou art a loving Father who will put aside a sin that hath been proffered in sorrow, and with a will, and with a desire, to make a change in a life that is necessary.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we reflect carefully upon thou sacrifice of thou Son,Our Lord Jesus Christ which was made for all Man when thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ died upon the cross. We uphold to thou a;; who are unable to forgive and we uphold to thou all who are unable to forget those who have sinned against them.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that Mankind will relinquish the bitterness that is felt toward another, we hope and we pray, that Mankind will relinquish the hate that is felt toward another, and we hope and we pray that Mankind will relinquish the anger that is felt  toward another, and we hope and we pray that Mankind will turn to thou and seek forgiveness.

Heavenly Father, help us not to grieve thou by persisting in remembering what thou hath forgiven and what thou hath put to one side.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thou all that hath been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, who together with thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ and thou Holy Spirit is, and was, and always will be the most supreme and most absolute power and being that rules over all of this world that we live on and is, and was, and always will be an Advocate for all Man, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on the Christian Faith (one of several)

Reflections for the day

John 20:6-8

Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen. Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.

James 2:14

14 What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him?

Prayer is of transcendent importance. Prayer is the mightiest agent to advance God’s work. Praying hearts and hands only can do God’s work. Prayer succeeds when all else fails.

A reflection on the Christian faith (one of several)

Heavenly Father,

It is at this time of Holy Week that we reflect upon the nature of faith, and it is at this time of Holy Week we acknowledge the time when thou disciples of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, went into the tomb where thou body of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, had been placed. We acknowledge that in the tomb where thou body of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, had been placed the disciples of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, were able to see in a way that was clear that the grave-clothes of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, lay in what can be described as a fold that was original, and that the body of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was absent.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou disciples saw, and thou disciples believed, and that a belief was one in the resurrection of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that many know that to have a faith of thou is to believe, and is to trust, in the unseen. We are able to see in a way that is clear that many  have a faith of thou that believes that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, died on a cross for  all Mankind, in order to show all Mankind thou way to thou.

Heavenly Father, thou art a loving Father, and thou art a merciful Father, and we are thankful that by thou grace thou are able to save all from a sin. Heavenly Father, we are thankful that through thou forgiveness a sin can be forgiven, if a sorrow is proffered for the error of a way, and a change in a life is made that reflects an error of a way.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide Mankind in a daily life to be able to express a love for thou. Heavenly Father, we are thankful that there is assurance of a continued salvation through thou presence of thou Holy Spirit who lives within Man, and who dwells amongst Man, and who advocates for Man. We are thankful that through thou sanctifying grace many are able to grow and are able to mature in a faith of thou, and we hope and we pray that all are able to live a life that emulates thou life of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we acknowledge the many who demonstrate a love for thou, and it is at this time we acknowledge the many who attended a walk of witness of yesterday in thou name of thouself, and the many who contributed to a performance known as “The Passion of Jesus,” at Trafalgar Square in thou name of thouself, and for a performance at Preston which brought many together in thou name of thou.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge a request of thou former Archbishop of Cantebury, to wear a cross as a symbol of a faith of thou, and we hope and we pray that all will be able to perceive, and that all will be able to discern, that a cross is a symbol of a faith of thou, and is one that should be permitted to be worn.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that there is a need to demonstrate a faith of thou by deed, and that in order to do so there is a need to think all in thou name of thou, and to say all in thou name of thou, and to do all in thou name of thou. We are able to see in a way that is clear that there is a need to respond with compassion to a need of another, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that there is a need to work for justice in a community. Heavenly Father, we ask thou to strengthen thou call to love thou neighbour, and we ask thou to increase a desire to emulate thou life of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we uphold to thou the good work of the many who contribute, and the good work of the many who manage a food bank for the many who are in need of nourishment.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we hope and we pray that many will reflect carefully upon the nature of faith, and we ask that many are able to see in a way that is clear that to have a faith of thou requires what is described as a good work to be done in thou name of thouself. We ask that thou can guide all, and we ask thou to direct all so that an inner thought, and so that an inner motive, and so that a deed, and so that a behaviour, is one that remains in an alignment with thou will.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake, in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and in thou name of thou Holy Spirit, who reigns on most high, and who is, and who was, and who will always be, the most supreme, and the most absolute power and being, that reigns over all who are of this earth that we live on, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on glorify

Reflections for the day

2 Corinthians 3:18

And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

2 Timothy 1:7

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

If our petitions are in accordance with His will, and if we seek His glory in the asking, the answers will come in ways that will astonish us and fill our hearts with songs of thanksgiving.

A reflection on glorify

Heavenly Father,

It is at this time during Holy Week that we reflect upon your glory as manifested in your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. We are able to see in a way that is clear that your Scriptures teach all much about the character of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that your Scriptures teach all that your glory is revealed in the person, and in the works of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that during the ministry of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, that many were drawn to your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. We are able to see in a way that is clear, that your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, did not seek a glory, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, did not seek the approval of another. We are able to see in a way that is clear that your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, did all that was done in order to glorify your name, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that what was done was right and was fitful in your name, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that on an occasion an attention was gained due to a good work done in your name which is one that can be described as favourable. We acknowledge that your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was able to see that an approval gained from another would be what can be described as temporary.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time that we are able to see in a way that is clear that for many to be popular is a state that is desirable. We are able to see in a way that is clear that popularity is a state that is not always wrong but the way popularity is gained often can be less than what could be described as desirable. We are able to see in a way that is clear that for some there is a choice to follow what another has done in order to be seen to be popular, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that for some there is a choice to persuade another to admire some in a way that can be described as less than desirable.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we ask you to help all Mankind to discern a right from a wrong, and we ask you to help all to remain on a path which is one that is straight, and is one that is narrow, toward your light which is eternal.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we uphold to you the names of all who have lost a life in a conflict, and it is at this time we remember those who lost a life during the Falkland War. We ask you to provide a number of opportunities to be placed before those in Government, in both Argentina and in the British Isles, so that a common ground can be found that is acceptable for all. We hope and we pray that all that is decided by those in Governments can be seen as a way to glorify your name.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that Mankind will reflect carefully upon the error of a way, and say sorry for an error of a way, and make the changes necessary in a life so that your glory is one that transforms all internally, and we hope and we pray that Mankind considers all that is an intention to be done, is done in your  name, and in your glory, now and always.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to yourself, Our Heavenly Father, all that has been said in the name of yourself, Our Heavenly Father, and in the name of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with your Holy Spirit, is, and was, and always will be, the most supreme, and the most absolute power and being, that reigns over all who are of this world that we live in, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.
