A reflection on debt

Reflections for the day

Philippians 4:19

And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 6:34

So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Prayer covers the whole of man’s life. There is no thought, feeling, yearning, or desire, however low, trifling, or vulgar we may deem it, which, if it affects our real interest or happiness, we may not lay before God and be sure of sympathy. His nature is such that our often coming does not tire him. The whole burden of the whole life of every man may be rolled on to God and not weary him, though it has wearied the man.

A reflection on debt

Heavenly Father,

We are able to see that the economic situation we are faced with in this country is one that can be described as tenuous. We are able to see that for many of us our financial situations are ones that can be described as difficult. We are able to see that for some of us the economic situation has meant a loss of jobs, and we are able to see that for some of us it has meant a loss of our homes. We are able to see that for many of us we are faced with a working life that will be longer, we are able to see that for many of us we are faced with a salary that may be reduced, and we are able to see that for many of us we are faced with a pension plan that will be less than what we have hoped for.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see that many of us now have feelings that can be described as less than content. We are able to see that for some of us we have feelings that can be described as a depressed state, and we are able to see that some of us are in what can be described as a state of worry.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that you know all, and we acknowledge that you see all, and we acknowledge that you know and see all our worries and concerns.

Heavenly Father, you are a  compassionate Father  and you are  a loving Father, and you are Our Heavenly Farther who is ever present, and you are Our Heavenly Father who is here for us to bring all our worries and concerns to you.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that your Scriptures teach us much about the nature of Man and we acknowledge that there are many situations in your Scriptures where Man has been filled with despair. We are able to see that many of the Psalms reflect upon the anguish of Man, and we are able to see that the Psalms teach us to call out to you from a place of pain, and to trust that you love us and can help us.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time that our Government is preparing a budget, and it is at this time there are many concerns by Man about the nature of this budget. Heavenly Father, we ask that you will place opportunities before our Government to reflect carefully on ways in which the burden of debt can be eased for all.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that some of us are less than wise in handling  money, and we acknowledge that for some of us this means a debt is incurred which is difficult  to be addressed. We ask you to guide us to be prudent with our spending, and we ask you to assist us with managing a budget that is personal.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that Mankind will turn to you, and we hope and we pray that Mankind can reflect upon the error of a way, and we hope and we pray that this will mean a change of direction for Mankind, in terms of being responsible for expenditure, both in a public manner and in a way that is personal.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to you now all that has been said in the name of yourself, Our Heavenly Father, and in the name of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with your Holy Spirit reigns on most high and is the Governor of all who live in this world, and is Our Heavenly Father who can help all to see a way forward clearly if a faith, and if a trust, and if a belief, is placed in the unseen, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on praise and worship

Reflections of the day

“O Lord, I will always sing of your constant love;

I will proclaim your faithfulness for ever.

I know that your love will last for all time,

That your faithfulness is as permanent as the sky.”

Psalm 89: 1-2

“Through him, then, let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.”

Hebrews 13: 15

A reflection on praise and worship

Heavenly Father,

Thou art the creator of all things in thou world. Thou art almighty, and thou art most powerful, and we exalt thou for thou power, and we glorify thou for thou mightiness. Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear from thou Scriptures that thou brought praise into existence and made it holy. We are able to see in a way that is clear that thou hath granted a revelation of thou self in thou wonders of thou nature, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that from nature there can be perceived, and there can be discerned, thou power and thou might, and and we are able to see in a way that is clear that from nature there can be perceived, and there can be discerned, thou beauty which transcends, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that from nature there can be perceived, and there can be discerned, thou  wisdom which is infinite.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that in thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, we are able to see in a way that is clear thou glory, and we are able to see in a way that is clear a fullness of thou Deity resides in thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. We acknowledge through thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, all Mankind are able to come to thou, and are able to worship thou.

Heavenly Father, thou art worthy of praise at all times, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that by praising thou, and by worshipping thou, it brings a sense of a self into thou presence. Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that all praise, and all worship of thou, is one that will empower a faith of thou. We are thankful that we able to perceive, and we are thankful that we are able to discern thou blessings in an act of praise, and in an act of worship.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear from thou Scriptures that there is a need to worship thou in a fullness of spirit, and in a fullness of truth. We are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Holy Spirit is able to advocate for many, and is able to direct many into a place of worship that is spiritual. We are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Holy Spirit can intercede for many, and allow a heart, and allow a mind, to be one that is illumined with love. We are thankful that through thou Holy Spirit all can be inspired at a time of worship of thou.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that there is a need to honour thou, and that there is a need to honour thou word. We acknowledge that all praise, and all worship of thou, must be one of respect, and one of reverence. We are able to see in a way that is clear that there is a need to praise thou at all times, and that there is a need to praise thou at a time when some are unable to feel thou presence. We are able to see in a way that is clear that by praising thou many can endure a time when a heart is one that is filled with a sorrow, and that thou art able to comfort many so that many will feel a desire to be led to thou full glory.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that many can worship thou through a prayer, and we acknowledge that many can worship thou by telling another of thou works which are good. We are able to see in a way that is clear that there is a need to honour thou with a word that is spake, which is a word that are is in alignment with thou Scriptures.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou word, and a prayer, allows thou power to work for the good of all. We acknowledge that a praise of thou allows thou power to continue to work, and we acknowledge that a praise of thou will bring a manifestation of thou Holy Spirit, and a manifestation of thou power, which is good, and which is great.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou psalms are songs that express the fullness of a human emotion, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou psalms are songs of a heart that mirrors an experience that is human. We are able to see in a way that is clear that thou psalms speak for all Mankind, and that many of thou psalms magnify thou name.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide many in a study of thou psalms, and we ask  thou Holy Spirit can direct many to praise thou for all thou hath done in a life, and we ask thou to guide many to glorify thou name in a way that is fitting, and in a way that is with reverence, and with awe.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that to be whole there is a need to express a self in a way that is right at a time of prayer. Heavenly Father, we ask  thou to guide many to be willing, and we ask thou to guide many to be able to express a thought, and to be able to express an emotion, and to be able to uphold thou in praise always.

Heavenly Father, we are thankful that through thou Holy Spirit many are able to feel uplifted, and many are able to feel thou presence, and many are able to feel nourished in a way that is spiritual. Heavenly Father, it is at this time we uphold to thou all who are unable to express a praise for thou.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that many who are Christians feel a need that is ignored, and that many who are Christians feel less than valued. Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that Mankind will reflect carefully upon the nature of Christianity, and we hope and we pray that Mankind will see a need of another who is a Christian, and who has a desire to be accepted.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with thou Holy Spirit, lives within Man, and dwells amongst Man, and advocates for Man, now and always for evermore.

Amen.
