A reflection on promise

Reflections for the day

2 Peter 1:4

And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.

A reflection on promise

Heavenly Father,

It is at this time of Lent we reflect upon the ministry of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and we reflect upon the nature of a faith of yourself, Our Heavenly Father. We are able to see in a way that is clear that the ministry of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was one that was shaped by a trust in the power of all promises of yourself, and that your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was able to minister, knowing that you had empowered your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, with a faith, and with a trust, and with a belief, in all that is of you, Our Heavenly Father.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that we are able to see in a way that is clear that all promises that you have made to Mankind in your Scriptures. We acknowledge that you have supplied, and will supply all needs, and all needs are ones that can be described as the love that you have for all Mankind, and a salvation that there is for all Mankind through your Son, Our Saviour, Our Lord Jesus Christ. We acknowledge that there is a provision for all salvation by your grace through a faith of you, and that there is a victory over death through your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who died upon a cross for all Mankind, to show all the way to you, and to guide all of Mankind to seek out a forgiveness for all sin.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that many have a belief  in your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and that through the forgiveness of sin all will be able to draw closer to you. We acknowledge that a promise is that all things work together for all good for those who love, and for those who serve you, in a way that is faithful, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that for some there is a difficulty in perceiving, and in discerning, how this can be accomplished at times.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that you have given all Mankind an opportunity to have a life that is eternal with you if  a self turns to you, and if a self proffers a sorrow for the error of a way, and incurs a  change in a life that is necessary.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that many at one time or another make a promise which is kept, and we are able to see in a way that is clear for some a promise is one that is broken. We are able to see in a way that is clear that a promise that is broken may be, and has been for a reason, and a reason may be, and has been one of forgetfulness, and may be, and has been for a reason of negligence, and may be, and has been for a reason where there is a change of mind, and may be, and has been for a reason where there is a change in circumstance which is beyond a control.

Heavenly Father, we ask you for a guidance in a daily life, and we ask your help in making a promise only when there is  an ability to keep it, and we ask you to guide us to always show a willingness to do your will.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we hope and we pray that those who hold a high office in this country are able to reflect carefully on a number of promises that have been made in order to manage an affair of this country, and we ask you to provide an number of opportunities before those in a high office to address a concern that there is at this present time over an influence suggested by some, and we hope and we pray that many will reflect carefully and make the changes that are necessary to resolve an issue for which many are concerned about.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that many desire to be an obedient servant  of you but fall short in an expectation that is yours, and we acknowledge that many desire to lay down a life for you but are at times reluctant, and we acknowledge that many desire to do your will but are at times rebellious.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that Mankind will turn to you for a guidance in a daily life, and we hope and we pray that through the example of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, many are able to keep a promise that is made.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to yourself, Our Heavenly Father, all that has been said in the name of yourself, Our Heavenly Father, and in the name of your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with your Holy Spirit, is the Redeemer and is the Saviour for all Mankind, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on religious tolerance

Reflections for the day

Matthew 8:8-10

The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

“The man who mobilizes the Christian church to pray will make the greatest contribution to world evangelization in history.”  Andrew Murray

A reflection on religious tolerance

Heavenly Father,

Thou art the Creator of thou world that we live in and thou hath created all things known to Man, and thou hath created all things unseen by Man. We acknowledge that we are all individuals and we acknowledge that each and everyone one of us holds views, and for some of us our views are different, and for some of us our faith is different.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou loves each and every one of us.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see that some of us differ in an outlook on life, and we are able to see that some of us differ in a view, and we are able to see that despite a difference in a view there are some things we are able to share.

We are able to see that for some of us there is a belief in thou existence, and we are able to see that  some of us hath a need to worship thou. We are able to see that for some of us there are opportunities to see thou work in thou nature.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, taught us to learn and taught us to understand Mankind, and we are able to see that thou Son,Our Lord Jesus Christ, was able to speak of Man having positive qualities to offer. We are able to see that thou disciple Paul recognised thou work of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, as one that happens within another’s religion and culture.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we ask thou to guide us in our daily life, and it is at this time we ask thou to  help us to recognise that another is entitled to a belief that differs from a  belief that is held by a self.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see that we are all called to bring others to thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and we are able to see that for Mankind there are some difficulties in accepting thou exists, and we are able to see that for Mankind there are some difficulties in accepting thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, is there for our salvation, and we are able to see that for Mankind there are some difficulties in accepting thou loves all of Mankind.

We are able to see that throughout history, events have occurred that can be described as shameful, and these events that have occurred have been perpetrated by Christians to people of other faiths. It is at this time, we uphold to thou in prayer thou people of Nigeria and we hope and we pray that thou people of Nigeria who are described as  Christians and we hope and we pray that thou people of Nigeria who are described as of the faith Islam can live together in peace and harmony.

Heavenly Father, we are concerned about the recent tragic event that has occurred in Toulouse. We are able to see that the Jewish Community are heartbroken and we are able to see that the Jewish Community are in need of our prayers. We are able to see that thou presence is one that is desired and we are able to see that thou guidance is one that is desired too.

Heavenly Father, there is much that happens in thou world that seems to make no sense and there is much that happens in thou world that can be described as evil. We are able to see that many of us would wish that evil is overcome and we are able to see that many of us would wish that violence ceased.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thou the names of thou Rabbi, his children and the other child who died in such a tragic way and we ask thou to heal their families and friends.

Heavenly Father, thou desires us to live in a way which avoids all that is not good in thou world. We ask thou to guide us in our daily life to stay on thou path which is a path that is straight and narrow toward thou eternal light. We ask thou to guide us to bring thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, to Mankind without a fear and without a prejudice, and without racism, and without a  judgement being proffered.

It is at this time we ask thou to place opportunities before the Government to reflect carefully upon the faith of Christianity and to reflect carefully upon  what it means to practice a faith of Christianity. We hope and we pray that our Government will address those situations in which Christians find themselves in at this present time and we hope and we pray that our Government comes to an understanding of our faith of Christianity.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thou all that hath been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and in thou name of thou Holy Spirit, who is, who was, and who will always be the most supreme and most absolute power and being that governs all of this world that we live on, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

A reflection on the Sabbath

A reflection for the day

“Many Christians backslide…They are unable to stand against the temptations of the world, or of their old nature. They strive to do their best to fight against sin, and to serve God, but they have no strength. They have never really grasped the secret: The Lord Jesus will every day from heaven continue His work in me. But on one condition—the soul must give Him time each day to impart His love and his grace. Time alone with the Lord Jesus each day is the indispensable condition of growth and power.”  Andrew Murray

A reflection on the Sabbath

Heavenly Father,

Thou art the creator of thou world and all that is in it. Thou created thou world in a period of time that is described as six days, and it is said that on the seventh day thou finished thou work that thou had done, and thou rested on the seventh day from all thou work that thou had done. Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou blessed the seventh day and made it one that is holy.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou Scriptures reveal much about thou Sabbath. We are able to see in a way that is clear that some put aside a day as a day of rest, and that thou desire is for all Mankind to cease from a daily work on a day nominated as thou Sabbath. We are able to see in a way that is clear that to keep thou Sabbath there is a need to refrain from doing as is pleased in terms of a work, and in terms of a pleasure that is placed before a praise, and before a worship of thouself.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that thou Sabbath day is decreed in thou Ten Commandments, and that thou Ten Commandments were recorded for all Mankind to be laid upon a heart. Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that many desire to obey thou Commandments, and we ask thou to guide all to obey thou Ten Commandments always, and we hope and we pray that through an obedience of thou Commandments, and by thou grace of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, all can draw closer to thou.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that many accept a Sunday as thou Christian Sabbath day. We acknowledge that many Christians believe that thou command is to keep thou Sabbath Day holy was not restricted to thou seventh day but for one day out of the seven week days. We are able to see in a way that is clear that by changing the Sabbath to a Sunday, the day on which your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, was resurrected, that it symbolises for Christians the acceptance of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, as thou Messiah.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that all Mankind will reflect carefully upon thou Sabbath. We hope and we pray that all Mankind is able to see in a way that is clear that thou Sabbath is a sign between thou and all Mankind, that it is a sign of a conversion, and that is a sign of a sanctification, and that is a sign of salvation for all.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that by keeping thou Sabbath many are able to show all of Mankind that there is a relationship with thou, and that there is a desire to serve thou, and that there is a desire to obey thou. We ask thou to guide all to reflect upon thou Sabbath, and we hope and we pray that all will perceive, and all will discern, a significance that there is in keeping thou Sabbath.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, who together with thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, reigns on most high, and is, and was, and always will be, the most supreme, and the most absolute power and being, that governs over all who are of this world that we live in, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.
