Reflections for the day

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in
Christ Jesus our Lord.

How different the world would look, how different the state of our nation would be, if there were more sanctified priestly souls! These are souls who have the power to bless, for they intercede with sanctified hearts. They never begin their daily time of intercessory prayer without having first brought to the cross all that is unholy in their lives, so that their old self can be crucified there with Jesus, the sacrificial Lamb. –Basilea Schlink

A reflection on separation

Heavenly Father,

It is at this time during Holy Week that we reflect upon the time that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, spent in the garden of Gethsemane and it is at this time in Holy Week that we reflect upon thou  death  of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, upon the cross.

We acknowledge that thou Scriptures teach us that death is a separation and we acknowledge that thou Scriptures teach us that death of the physical body is a separation of the soul from the body. We acknowledge that thou Scriptures teach us that there are many references to death in thou Scriptures and in thou Scriptures a physical death is described as one of sleep.

We are able to see that Mankind hath, since time began, suffered what is called a separation of the soul from thou, and we are able to see that this separation of the soul from thou is one that is due to a sinful way.

We are able to see that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, died a physical death on the cross, and we are able to see that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, gave a life in order for Mankind  to find thou way to thou.

We are able to see that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, revealed a power and a mightiness over death, and we are able to see that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, revealed a power and a mightiness over sin, by rising from the dead on the third day following a crucifixion; and that the rising from the dead on the third day following a crucifixion is commonly known as thou resurrection.

We are able to see that during thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ’s time in the garden of Gethsemane that thou Son, our Lord Jesus Christ took upon thouself the sins of Mankind, and we are able to see that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, felt a separation from thou. We are able to see that for thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ a separation from thou meant something more agonising than the physical death thou Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, had yet to encounter.

Heavenly Father, it is at this time we reflect upon the sinful way of Man and it is at this time we reflect upon those that are separated from thou because of sin.

Heavenly Father, there are many influences in thou world which can lead Man astray and some of these influences are ones that are seen in the media.

Heavenly Father, we believe that many of the world’s issues can be resolved by thou by placing before Mankind opportunities to address issues that are of concern, and we hope and we pray that Mankind will make the right choice to resolve  issues of concern which are ones that cause a separation from thou.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that opportunities are placed before those who are responsible for what can be viewed by many on the internet, and we hope and we pray that opportunities are placed before those who are responsible for what can be viewed by many on television, and we hope and we pray that opportunities are placed before those who are responsible for what can be viewed by many at the cinema, and we hope and we pray that opportunities are placed before those who are responsible for what can be viewed by many in the privacy of our homes.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that many will reflect carefully upon the tragic death and the events of the death of Jacqueline Bartlam, and we hope and we pray that many will be able to see a way forward clearly in addressing all issues of a concern that will mean a separation from thou.

Heavenly Father, thou art a loving Father and thou art a compassionate Father, and thou art with us always. Many desire to draw closer to thou, many desire to always be in thou presence and many are thankful that through thou grace many are able to find thou way to thou.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thou all that hath been spake in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and in thou name of thou Holy Spirit, who lives within us, and who dwells amongst us, and who advocates for us, now and always, for evermore.
