The example of the life of Our Lord Jesus Christ

Reflections for the day

John

8:31-32
“So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

Ephesians

5:1-2
“Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”

1 Corinthians 11:1

Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

Philemon 1:14

But I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that any favour you do would not seem forced but would be voluntary.

So Father, give me the strength
To be everything I’m called to be
Oh, Father, show me the way
To lead them
Won’t You lead me?

A reflection on the example of thou life of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ

Heavenly Father,

It is at thou Easter time that we reflect carefully upon thou example given by thou life of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. We acknowledge that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ revealed that thou ministry meant that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, would endure a trial, and that thou ministry meant that thou Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, would endure a tribulation, and that thou ministry meant that thou Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, would endure a rejection, and that thou ministry meant  thou Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, would endure a crucifixion, in order to fulfil thou plan of redemption for Mankind for all eternity.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Son,Our Lord Jesus Christ, came not to be served but to serve, and we are able to see in a way that is clear that  thou Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, came not to take but to give, and we are able to see in a way that is clear, that thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ was humble, and was merciful, and was obedient to thou always.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou to guide all Mankind in a daily life so that many are able to follow thou perfect example of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Many will, at a time in the future, desire to be thou obedient servant but will fall short in thou expectation, and many will, at a time in the future, desire to lay down a life for thou but will be  reluctant at times, and many will, at a time in the future, desire to do thou will but  will be rebellious at times.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that many  desire to be renewed in a way that can be described as spiritual, and we acknowledge that in order for all to be renewed in this way there is a need to draw closer to thou, and there is a need to follow thou example of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, we are able to see in a way that is clear that thou Scriptures reveal that thou made a provision for all so that all can lead thou way by an example given by thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and that thou Scriptures reveal that St Paul was a man who lived a life which emulated thou life of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and that the example of the life of St Paul is revealed in the many letters that were written. We are able to see in a way that is clear from all letters that were written in thou New Testament that St Paul knew his limitations and did not suffer from an ego that can be described as inflated. We are able to see in a way that is clear  from all letters that were written, that St Paul appraised another in a way that can be described as generous, and we are able to see in a way that is clear from all letters written that St Paul demonstrated a respect for the right of another that can be described as one that is sensitive, and is one that can be described as punctilious. We are able to see in a way that is clear  from all letters written that St Paul was a man of faith, whose faith can be described as one that has a strong conviction, and we are able to see in a way that is clear from all letters written that St Paul was able to concede an equal liberty to the conviction of another.

Heavenly Father, we hope and we pray that many are able to follow thou example of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in much the same way as St Paul did. We hope and we pray that all lives will reflect thou glory, and all lives will reflect thou love that there is for all.

Heavenly Father, we ask thou can strengthen all at a time of difficulty, and we ask thou can renew all at a time of asking, and we ask  thou can speak and that thou can work through all, and in all, and we ask thou for a guidance, and we ask thou to provide a number of opportunities to allow all to perceive, and to allow all to discern, thou way to thou.

Heavenly Father, we place all lives into thou hands of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, knowing that all are here to glorify thou, and knowing that all are here to serve thou, and knowing that it is not what can be gained but what we can be given to thou, and knowing that all that is done for thou, and all that is done for another, must be done in thou name.

Heavenly Father, we uphold to thouself, Our Heavenly Father, all that hath been spake, in thou name of thouself, Our Heavenly Father, and in thou name of thou Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, who together with thou Holy Spirit, reigns on most high, and is, and was, and always will be, the most supreme, and the most absolute power and being, that governs all who are of thou earth that we live on, now and always, for evermore.

Amen.

Loving Father, we realise that we have a lot to live up to when following the example of our Lord Jesus Christ. We ask that thou are able to assist us in following His example when problems and difficulties invade our lives. Amen
